I didn't note a driveline specific sub, so posting this here. Does anyone with a '22 not have eIWEs?

User on another board shared these pictures from his Lariat with no mechanisms, plugs, or hoses. Built March '22.

Only noticed as he was trying to add a Hi-Lock T-case and Tremor TCCM. The TCCM turned out to be from a '21 and was complaining about the missing eIWE. He found out why.

Wondering if not applicable when configured with a Torsen front diff do to the mechanical torque vectoring? Although your pic is from a 4x4 Lariat...so I guess that doesn't make sense.

Update: My Tremor with Torsen has them

I am on that thread too (I asked the person to post these pics). My guess is that Ford stopped using them for the moment due to supply constraints. It will be interesting to see if this hits all models or just specific ones, how long this lasts, etc. At work we have a few XLTs in production right now so I am anxious to see if these trucks show up with IWEs or not. Also curious to see if Tremors delivered in the next few months have IWEs. Could it be Tremors and Raptors still get them? Will all trucks get them again in '23?

Really, hubs that unlock are always/never applicable. Almost every modern vehicle has "auto hubs" where there is some sort of disconnect so that the axle shafts dont spin while the vehicle is driving in 2wd, general thought being it is to reduce wear and tear and increase fuel economy. Before electric/vacuum disconnects there were manual hubs. Really though the argument could be made that locking hubs are not needed since the transfer case is what disconnects the front drive shaft from sending power to the front diff and then the axles. Whether or not the front diff is open or limited slip (Torsen) shouldnt matter. The only time you would really need to unlocks hubs would be if you had a locker or spool up front as turning can be hard if both axle shafts are locked together.
