OEM Tremor wheel/tire weight

Weighed a 30 mile takeoff Tremor wheel/tire combo on my cheap bathroom scale (fairly accurate). 84.2 lbs…..

Interesting, either my scale is off or yours is. Last i measured a stock tremor wheel/tire it was around 73 lbs total. It was missing the tpms, but that doesnt weigh much obviously.

11 lbs is a pretty big discrepancy! Who’s filling theirs up with helium?!

I was surprised too, was expecting it to be around 74 or 75 based on General tire’s listed weight for the ATX SL tire. I know my scale isn’t exactly high end so to double check I weighed my wife, myself, and my stock lariat sport 20” wheel which were all within .2 pounds of what we expected. Of course my wife was .2 pounds lighter lol.

275/70/18 116S is sprinted on the tire, indicating SL.

So I just took a more expensive bathroom scale out to the shop to double check the weight, it weighed exactly the same 84.2 lbs. Here is where it gets pretty interesting. I weighed all 4 of the wheels/tires on both scales. Keep in mind none of these has anymore than a couple ounces of balance weights stuck to them.

After confirming the one in the photo above was in fact 84.2 lbs, I moved on to the other 3. They were 82 lbs, 81 lbs, and 77 lbs confirmed on both scales. Will add photos to confirm both scales were reading the same….
