Wondering what are peoples experiences with off-roading and leveling kits? Any issues wheeling with spacers? Are the longer UCAs necessary for a level on the tremor? Im new to off roading or building an IFS setup. I plan to mainly do rocky terrain, slow and steady. Ive done moderate trails in a power wagon ive had and more hardcore wheeling in a 2010 jeep jk that i built pretty well. Also, i am sorta leaning towards keeping stock wheels and curious if i can run a 35x12.5 or something like a 295/70 without any binding or rubbing. My goal for a season or so is to cut costs and do rci skids(purchased on black friday), inexpensive lift but completely functional, bigger tire and rock sliders. Get out for a season then focus on premium lift in the future.

I am pretty sure all 12.5" are considered too wide by the manufacturers. There are people running the 285/75 with front lifts and I believe 295/70 with front lifts and OE wheels

Ya know, i woke up early this morning for work and thought to myslef, “12.5 aint going to fit on the stock wheel”. I knew better, twas the gin talkin. Im conflicted on sticking with stock wheels, giving that a 35x12 is much more common and less expensive. Thing is, im sorta fond of the stock wheel and i travel a bit in snow. I wouldnt mind doin the 295/70 but theres just not many options in a good hybrid or aggressive at.

When I first upgraded to 35/12.50 on my stock wheels I had no issues whatsoever but I also installed the 2.5 auto spring lift the same day. The stock offset makes 35/12.50 work fine without any rubbing or binding with a 2.5 lift. If you didn’t lift I’m not sure if it wouldn’t rub.

Dang, mind if i ask for a pic of the 35x12.5 on the stock wheel? If you have a couple angles, thatd be awesome. Really wouldnt mind going 295/70 but the price and options out there. Did you do any wheeling when you had that lift? Have you had the suspension at full droop and stuffed?

I never did any off roading, so no full droop.
Here are some pics I found.

Alrighty, that looks pretty darn good. You didnt have any issues turning at full lock? Maybe while on a slant and backing up? Have you been off road with the setup you run currently?

None…… until I added a 1.5 inch wheel spacer then I was chopping the 💩 outta my crash bars and trimming plastic. Before the spacers never anything I noticed and I would’ve noticed. I found some before and after spacer pics you can see the poke difference it made.
