2022 Ford F-150 Tremor
FNG here. I just started really looking into the Tremor. I’ve been driving my 2013 2500 Cummins for over 5 yrs. It’s a great truck, but I don’t need this big of a truck and there are some things that need to be done that frankly I don’t want to pour money into. Plus, it’s sometimes a pain maneuvering in downtown areas. Are there hardly any dealers that have inventory? Is it better to order one or will dealers soon begin to get inventory? I live near Austin, TX. I’ve seen on some websites that list a truck and price, but says it’s ”ordered and coming soon.” Anyone know what this means in terms of what “soon” means? 2 weeks? 6 months? Thanks for the help.

For me it came down to price. I could probably have found one and paid msrp for it since I ordered back in Nov. Ordering allows you to get much better pricing and the exact truck you want (assuming ford quits deleting options).
I think I’ll end up saving like $8k off msrp by ordering.

If I wasn’t a cheap bastard I would have bought off the lot.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve never ordered one, but I’m guessing there’s some sort of deposit required? I can research further and figure that out.

I'm from Pflugerville and ordered because everyone in the Austin, San Antonio, Dallas and even Houston area all had $10k+ markup. I will say steer clear from Covert in Hutto. It has not been the best experience and trying to get info from my sales guy or manager is like pulling teeth. If you are able to find what you want and want to pay the markup then go for it. I personally had no use for the small pro-power option and dislike the panno roof which seems like every dealer orders so that shaved off close to $2500 for me already. Seems like no one can nail down a good time line for orders, neither can ford. So there is that if you do order.

Awesome. Thank you. I’ll look into it.

I’ve heard that. I live in Bastrop and Sames Ford had one in white last weekend but it’s sold now I believe. And I agree on the options. Maybe I don’t need that moon roof.

Which ever route you choose you'll love the truck. It's a matter of if you and to pay for instant gratification or if you're willing to wait. Hoping mine is delivered and ready by the end of next week but that's probably asking the rail god's for too much lol

If your impatient and can afford it dealer inventory. Not in a rush and want a deal order it. I found one dealer inventory and I couldn’t be happier with my decision.

Good luck. I am likely going to go the order route if I can save several thousand. Plus I can get what I want.

If you are going to order and not go with Granger you can get xplan from many dealers on orders. Make sure you talk to them about xplan pricing on orders first. Join EAA.org or Mustang club of America for like $40. Just have to be a member for 90 days prior to sale date and that should not be an issue with orders right now lol. I am up to 116 days from order date and currently on chip hold.

Also in Austin. I ordered mine from Maxwell on 12/2 and got it $3500 under Msrp. It’s “in production” as of last week.

I bought mine of a lot, found out the dealer had ordered one, saw it listed as in transit. 1 month and 3 days later it arrived at the dealer. I had a buddy who works there and he called as soon as the truck pulled in. I payed about 2800 below MSRP, then my trade in off that. I didn't have the patience to wait for the order. They had ordered about 50 broncos for customers over a year ago when they first opened the order banks and had only gotten 20 of those delivered. That's why I decided not to order.

Honestly I couldn't be happier unless they had thrown better suspension on it from factory.

It really depends on the area I would imagine. I bought off a dealer lot almost a month ago, paid 2k under MSRP and they gave me 7k for a trade in that was worth maybe 2K on top of that.

That being said, 90 minutes away (where the next one I could find was) 5k markup is common. I'm just in the middle of nowhere and buying from a dealer who averages 50ish sales a month during really good months.
