I saw someone had posted a while back they had their Calipers painted. I really liked it and although I had never thought about doing this before, I thought I would do it. After calling around, most shops charge around $1k to have this done. Which seems nuts to me. I mean, a full set of racing calipers for a car to hit the race track is around $1k.

So I did a little research and bought a custom color kit from G2. I chose to go with Ford's Electric Spice Pearl (color code is H8/M7329) that they used a few years ago on the Edge and a few other cars. It seemed like a "close" match to the orange on the side F150 badges. Also closely matches the front grill stripe, but doesn't match the rear Tremor logo 100%.

Anyway, I'm not sure what I think about the end result. It doesn't stand out? But maybe I like that part? The jury is still out.

I was thinking of doing this. Looks really good and on my list of things to do now!

About how long did this take? Looks great!
Thanks!

It takes maybe 30 min to clean the calipers, an hour to tape them all… then 2 hours of painting in a circle around the truck 3 or 4 times.

Truck needs to be up on jacks so all 4 wheels can be off at the same time.

Looks good to me. I'm bias tho, had mine painted as well. Its not the most eye catching thing on the truck, but i think that actually appeals to me. People who enjoy trucks will notice, also fairly noticeable when youre driving by on the road.

I've seen this done years ago with this kit. It may have been on the Mustang forum. Can't recall for sure. On the Tremor, it doesn't seem much of the caliper is visible. Certainly not worth spending $1k IMO. The DYI method would be my choice if I were to do this.

Install some 8 piston Brembo's and they will cover almost half your rotor. Then paint them if you need more Inconsistent orange. I personally like the subtle accents on the Tremor, so it fits right in.

I have always had good luck with this place in color matching, so if my truck ever gets off the train I plan to buy a 12oz spray can of a 2015 Edge in Electric Spice Metallic, and then hit it with a clear gloss.

How did the Electric Spice Metallic work out for you? I’m looking to paint mine as well. Just want to make sure that’s the right color. Also did you use color code FF4E?

Not sure yet. Still waiting on the truck to go through PDI and then get tint, PPF, bedliner and level. I am thinking in Mar. I will get around to painting the calipers. I just looked up a 2015 Fiesta and selected the FF4E paint from here:

I plan to put down a coat of high temp primer, the orange, an F150 sticker and then a coat of high temp clear. I have done this on other vehicles in the past with good results.
