Picked up this beauty last night. Pre 1984 model and the paperwork says it weighs a little over 700lbs. sitting at about 1.5in squat with 2in AS puck level from what I can tell so far. Wondering if anyone had any input on suspension. Have seen the RAS system and Timbren. Any recommendation would be very helpful as I am not very familiar with each. Also, if the extra wight would be too much for the stock tires? My payload is 1670 so well under max payload even fully loaded with gear. Either way super stoked to get out and put this thing through the paces!

Those Bilstein 5165 rear shocks that I posted earlier would go great with that camper.

Thanks for the info. Would the new shocks alone lift the rear some? Sorry, as I said I am not familiar at all with this type of thing.

No it would just make your vehicle more stable and handle the weight better than the stock shocks. RAS would be the easiest that way you could remove it when not needed but timbren should work.

I have a super pacific x1. Installed the RAS system, on my other truck I used air bags. I will probably do a custom spring replacement as soon as some better shock options come out.
