Here is the long story, two weeks ago my Tremor was running great. Pulled up to an intersection, the Auto On/Off feature kicked on, engine shut off while my brake was applied (as designed), I proceed to let off my brake and pull into the intersection, the truck never turned back on. Dead, all electronics worked but the truck would not start. Ended up getting it towed to the dealership. They had it for three days trying to determine the issue, eventually all they could determine was a faulty battery due to low voltage codes being thrown, so they replaced battery.
Fast forward a couple of weeks, everything seemed to be working great until this morning. The truck sat outside in 20 degree temps overnight and I awoke to the panic alarm going off. After turning the panic alarm off, I attempted to remote start it via the key fob and phone app, both applications failed. I proceeded to start it up by stepping into the cab, the moment I opened the driver door, the emergency brake randomly set (which was weird), I started the truck, no moaning of the engine (if it was low battery), fired right up but all my setting were reset. As if everything was back to default.
I called my service tech at the dealership I bought it from, he reviewed the codes, he mentioned there was faulty ABS code that was thrown, which in turn caused multiple other modules to delay during startup (possibly causing the reset), no low voltage codes were issued. He mentioned this was a known issue according to Ford, and they are preparing a over Wi-Fi software update by mid-March.
I am currently 400 miles from home, unable to bring it into the dealership for additional testing until next week. I hope the truck doesn't leave stranded trying to get home, especially since I am pulling a camper trailer home.
Frankly, I am getting very concern there could a larger issue going on, they could be separate events but it seems to close together. Any thoughts, or other owners that have or are experiencing the same issues?
