Power fold mirrors on 401a

I found a great deal on a pair of power fold mirrors and recently installed them. I had to have them painted Agate Black to match my truck, as they came off a Lead Foot Gray Lariat.

To add these to a 401a, you also have to install some additional wiring between the mirror and the door module on both doors as well as replace the door switch to add the fold button. Activating via FORScan is also required. All in all it was about 2 hours of work.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but do those mirror switches just pop out of the door panel? My mirror switch is broke and I need to replace. Do you have a PN for the power folding switch?

How did you deal with the cameras? The 401 doesn’t have the 360 camera package?

Mine came with the 360 cameras from the factory. You can check with boosted gray goose designs to see if they have a solution.

I’ll probably have to find a pair of Powerfold no cameras and everything I need on eBay and color match later.
