Power tailgate doesn’t go up

Day 1 of ownership and the power tailgate goes down with a button push, doesn’t go up. With keys in my pocket, without. Doors locked, unlocked.
I traded in my 2021 Powerboost and it’s power tailgate worked up and down flawlessly.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Mine didn't work from the factory -- had to turn on the power option in the Sync 4 settings.

I like how you can slightly lift the tailgate and the power system will take over and raise it the rest of the way.

I don't bother ordering the power tailgate because of interference with my canopy, but pretty cool option that I wish I could use.

Which canopy/shell are you using?

I've got the RSI Smartcap. The seal makes pretty firm contact on the top of the tailgate and the hatch has to be open to put it up.

I see, so you are back there anyway to raise the hatch, so what’s the point in having it powered. Saved $$ = More Other Stuff.

No, power tailgate is a separate option and not included in 402A. Remote tailgate release gets added in 401A.

I have the same problem on my 21 f 150 Tremor.

Only works with button on gate.

Still looking for the fix.

When you turn the power on in the settings in the dashboard for the tailgate power, yes it goes up or down by remote.

I have a 2022 Tremor with 402A package. The tailgate will go UP and DOWN via the remote, but not all the time. What I noticed was that I sometimes need to go to settings for the POWER option on the tailgate. I have had to toggle from POWER to MANUAL option to get it working again. This makes no sense as when I look at the setting it already shows POWER, but does not start working again until I perform the toggle setting - POWER-MANUAL-POWER. it would appear that the setting gets "lost".

That's new, I've had mine since Dec 3 and have not had an issue, sometimes I might have to click it a couple of times because things sometimes interfere with the signal I think, but it always works. I know at work I have to be close to the vehicle for it to work, they have signal blockers, anywhere else I can start the truck or let the tailgate down from 400 yrds away. At work however I can only do it from about 50ft. So it could just be something causing interference.
