2021 F-150 Tremor
I’ve got a 2021 Tremor with 45k miles. Only modification (if you call it one) is that I run 295 instead of 275/70r17 tires. After seeing a “check 4x4” light, I took it to the shop to discover the front right axle needed to be replaced and some sensor called “IEW,” (maybe). My question is - is this common? It happened while I was driving in the rain in slippery mode. I have had to get the transfer case seal replaced and they also worked on the transmission about a year ago after it would aggressively jerk the truck around while downshifting from like 3rd to 2nd gear. Just seems odd all my issues are around the powertrain and transmission? Again, asking the group - is this a known issue? Oh, and I had to replace a seal on one of the cylinders in the engine.

The “IWE” is more than likely the mechanism that engages the 4WD at that individual wheel. Not sure of the current function, but at one point in time they were vacuum activated. Had a ‘19 Raptor and on the Raptor Forum there were some individuals who had issue with this, however, not a tremendous amount.
On the seal, my Raptor had a leaking front pinion seal from the factory which was replaced without any further issues. Transmission shifting I would do some research to see if there are any recalls or Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) on the issue.

Thanks for the reply.
