My local Roush Dealership got back with me today regarding the Tremor lift.

1. Roush isn’t sure if it’s products will work with the Tremor — they haven’t seen one yet.
2. Pro Comp Spacer is approved by Ford — it won’t void the warranty — and will level the truck with the original suspension. Dealer quoted me $1094 + tax for parts, install and realignment.

I think this is the spacer the dealer is proposing:

Thinking I don’t need the rear block:

Now I called and spoke with Pro Comp and I was told that a spacer would put too much pressure on the CV Axels— the representative is under the impression the truck is already lifted 🤔

I won't be doing spacers. They put too much stress on components not designed for it. If you really won't use your suspension to it's limit, it's probably OK. That said, if you don't plan on using it to its limit, probably should have bought an FX4. Just my $.02.

I'll wait for a spring or coilover replacement. I MIGHT consider a perch collar, but unlikely

Well keep me advised on what you find

With unique control arms and knuckle, I'm guessing ford is warranting the pro comp because it's within spec

Hmmmm - something isn’t correct. Which one mounted the rear shocks upside down?

If the one done above by American Trucks is correct, the Fox branding is poorly placed to be upside down…

Down in Georgia, the Ford Dealer mounts the logo right side up:

Brandon Lopez runs his like down in Georgia — I’m thinking American Trucks is messed up in the head at this point:

Well, like when you wake up in the morning, don’t put your underwear on backwards. I’d seriously question anything put out by American Trucks — they also did that scary lift with the 5/8” hole drilled close to the edge.

Yeah, Fox's states to mount them tube up. American Trucks does a lot of sketchy shit

Looks like it’s the Fox 2.0 for the ideal setup on 33s

Definitely get the Roush or tuned by ford ones. Tunes make the ride

Looking at those, it doesn't appear they have much compression left in them.

I spent a great portion of the weekend reading up on Coilovers and Shocks — even watched an hour of King shocks being rebuilt. While I am not ready to jump in with both feet and do a self install, I do feel a bit more knowledgeable on the brands and performance.

Is adjustable coilovers and shocks (with a reservoir) worth getting? I ask, because if I am going to want these down the road, I mind as well get them now instead of making second purchase.

Now, so far I only know of the FOX 2.0 being put on a Tremor (Planet Ford in Texas did it — see above), and I am not entirely sure that is going to work out or not… Here is what I am potentially looking at to accomplish a ~2” lift (FOX, Bilstein, and King).

- FOX Performance Series 2.0 + IFP Shock
- FOX Race Series 2.5 Adjustable + Reservoir Shock Adjustable

- Bilstien B8 6112 + B8 5100 Shock
- Bilstein B8 6112 + B8 5160 Shock

- King 2.5 Reservoir Coil Over Adjustable + Rear 2.5 DIA. Reservoir Adjustable

I did the same...pretty much all weekend and still don't have a solution I'm 100% sold on yet.

Reservoirs are not a requirement for me. I'm not going to be doing any high speed stuff or flying over washboards. I'm mostly trail crawling on medium level stuff or road hunting. Pretty much any leveling kit is going to be an adjustable coilover that will preload your spring, just like a perch collar. You need to find the balance between ride softness and shock longevity that works for you. Fox recommends a 50k rebuild interval for their shocks and that is for 100% on road use. The more you use them off-road and the larger valves, the more often they will need rebuild. So keep that in mind. I would assume the Kings or any of the other "race" shocks will be very similar. For reference, I'm getting my Fox 2.5s rebuilt on Thursday. Labor and parts to pull off, rebuild and reinstall is $1400.

To be honest, I'd probably be OK with a perch collar if anyone comes out with one. It's really no different than an adjustable coilover that you have cranked up to a 2" lift other than the valving and spring. Still hoping for a progressive spring replacement and new Deaver leafsprings though.

I decided to chat with Ford Performance and ask about the suspension on their site. Who knows what this guys technical knowledge level is, so also take with a grain of salt. My suspicion from the Roush page, "NOTE: 2021 Trucks will require the lower spring perch to be adjusted 5/8” of an inch down on the strut shaft (towards the lower control arm) for proper suspension travel & improved ride." is that they are just making the 2020 kit work even though it isn't designed for it.

Hello RotorHead695, how can I help you?

RotorHead695 at 10:59, Sep 7:

I am expecting to pickup my new 2021 F150 Tremor soon and wanted to inquire about the best method of leveling the truck. Without knowing the specs or manufacturer of the OEM shocks, will the Fox 2.0 2" kit for sale on your site be considered an upgrade?

RotorHead695 at 11:00, Sep 7:

I know the rear suspension on the Tremor is twin-tube as per the Ford website.

Anthony at 11:02, Sep 7:

One moment please.

Anthony at 11:06, Sep 7:

The current Fox leveling kit is for the 2015 to 2020 kits only at this time. The 2021 kits are currently in development, however we do not have a compatibility breakdown as of yet for 2021, so since the rear suspension is different, we will want to make sure the kit is compatible.

RotorHead695 at 11:06, Sep 7:

OK, Thank you.

Anthony at 11:07, Sep 7:

As an example, the 2021 Ranger kit does not work with the Ranger Tremor.

RotorHead695 at 11:07, Sep 7:

That makes sense. Are you able to confirm an F150 Tremor specific kit is in the works though?

Anthony at 11:07, Sep 7:

I would check back with our website periodically for updates and if you have any questions please let us know.

Anthony at 11:08, Sep 7:

I can not, sorry.

I talked to Ford Performance today to inquire about my build status. While talking with them I asked them if they were going to come out with anything to level the Tremor. I was told that they are working on a 4 corners suspension with Fox shocks like they have for the Raptor that is Tremor specific and it should be available for purchase by the end of the year. He thought price wise it would be around $1,500. He seemed very knowledgeable. I should’ve been writing down everything that he told me but I was driving at the time. If someone smarter than me wants to call and inquire with them it sounds like they have more information to give out now than they did a few weeks ago.

I would be so happy with just a 4” front lift to match the rear. I don’t want to mess with the rear suspension as it’s fine for me.

I honestly don’t want to have to change out the suspension at all considering that was a big draw to the Tremor. I liked the sound of the Eibach springs that would level it. I’m crossing my fingers they develop that for the Tremor.

The only possible problem with that is once a trailer is attached it's going to squat a ton. Guys with 4,000 lbs loads are saying it sits level when attached. I'm thinking it's going to need new leaf springs or air bags to avoid that after lifting the front.

I have the same problem with my Raptor. It squats with just my canopy and off-road gear. I had purchased Deavers to solve that issue, but then ordered the Tremor so sold the springs before getting them installed.

I had hoped the suspension would be amazing. Unfortunately it's feeling like Ford dropped the ball on this one, along with the wheels and tires. Besides the $8k to fix everything, it's the perfect truck.

The only saving grace would be spring replacements only and that will be about $2k front and rear.

I’m not sure I will ever get over the shock of the tire choice. The rake I’m sure has to do with aerodynamics and fuel mileage, etc, etc. The tires though, I mean come on. Man that one irritates me lol. My FX4 had factory “AT” tires….. had 3 flats on the same tire in 20k. Yeah they were a 6 ply. Nothing like spending 60k+ on a truck and getting $60 worth of rubber to rely on.
