As the title says, Ford pushed a new camera update to my truck on August 2nd, now every time I start the truck it asks to "secure items plugged into the bed outlets, press ok to shift to drive" then on the sync 4 it says propower problem, take to the nearest service center. So be aware if they push updates through you might have an issue, I have it scheduled to be checked in a couple of weeks will update with more then, if it somehow resolves itself I'll update that as well.

We fixed your camera but your truck turned into a rutabaga.
Sorry

Yes I sent a very hateful message to Ford earlier on this matter, my cameras worked fine, all they did was add a picture in picture view if you have the optional trailer camera that you have to buy separately. Which I don't have, so the update wasn't needed and screwed up my truck in the process. Sad thing is most of the update was already available on my truck.

Back in the 1990's Marc Andreesen said software will eat the world. Looks like it got to our trucks.

Ok to update this, it was indeed the update they pushed that caused the problem. Their solution to fix it is to drop the truck back off and the dealer has to force a new update, takes 7 hrs so hopefully Tuesday afternoon I can report that the problem is resolved.

I long for the days of mechanical cars versus electronic based cars, yes the electronic based cars have some nice features and I love my Tremor but to have an update cause issues with a vehicle and then it basically takes 2 full days for them to fix it is a pain in the ass. Venting done, carry on!

Grrrrrrrr! My truck still hasn't finished updating, they are having somebody stay overnight with it, hopefully it will finish by 10pm they said. It has 6 of 8 modules done. In the mean time they gave me a loaner, one that will fit in the bed of my truck!!!!!! I told them I have to have the truck in the morning regardless because I have to go pick some stuff up that requires the truck to haul it so that's why they are having someone stay after to monitor it. Hopefully this time it gets done if not they will have to try again at a later date.

My dealer told me about that nightmare. Here's hoping it gets done, this time.

Well folks it's not any better news, I have the truck back for now, they have to order a control module which they said would be 2-3 weeks then they install and update it again, have I mentioned I hate to love the electronics on these new trucks......

I guess I should consider myself lucky though as that's been the only issue to date.

Ok to update, if you don't have an extended warranty get it, they finally got my truck fixed today, they had 32 hrs of labor on it which they will bill Ford a grand total of $5800 and some change, all over an over the air update that bricked the module for my pro power.

Folks get the longest extended warranty you can, these electronics are expensive to figure out and repair.
