Back in February, I ordered an F350 Platinum Tremor to replace my F250, roll forward 10 months, and still waiting. In that time cost of fuel has just gone crazy (along with everything else) and I’ve realized that I really don’t need the F350 and could be very happy going back to the F150. So I called the dealer to cancel my 2022 F350 and will order the 150 Tremor this week. Still going back and forth on a few things, mostly the 3.5EB vs the 5.0. I’ve had the EB before and absolutely had no issues, never had the 5.0 but just something about that V8 sound. Given I do tow (boat, ATV, camper) leaning towards the EB. One question I do have, any options you wish you did add, or regret adding?

This is my 2nd EB and I couldn't be happier. I have the 402A and the only thing that I am less than impressed with is the B&O Unleashed System. The sound is ok, but its far from "Unleashed".... Other than that, I would order everything the same way. I will say I have heard people struggling to get the heated options due to parts shortages etc.

Good luck and welcome to the club!

Thanks. I was wondering about the B&O, I had it in my build list and saw they have speakers in the headrest and didn't know if that was enjoyable or annoying! Honestly, there are 2 things that I REALLY wanted and just are not options.. (1) Tow Mirrors, and I know it's supposed to be an "off-road" truck.. But come on the other 95% of the time it will be on the road, it's a truck, and likely you will haul something with it. (2) a 6.5' bed.. When I went to the SD with the 6.75' bed it was SO much better than the 5.5', but not an option for you with the Tremor. Seems you can't do the blackout on the other trim models either with the longer bed, go figure.

The headrest speakers aren't annoying, they are just more ambient noise vs a speaker.

I like the B&O unleashed system. I think it sounds great. If you want earth shattering bass then you won’t like it but it sounds clean and clear to me with plenty of bass. It all depends on the signal. XM is the worst.

I previously have a 5.0, it was a good motor and sounds great but it does lack power. I recently purchased an F150 Tremor 402a with the 3.5 EB and am really happy so far. I did tune it but it had plenty of power beforehand. The 3.5 has a decent exhaust sound with the sport exhaust out the back. I cant say enough good things about the truck. Even after a 2" level and 34" tires I'm still getting decent mpg and it tows great. Mine came with the panoramic sunroof that I could live without but everything else has been good. I don't listen to the music full blast but the sound of the B&O sounds good to me. Good luck and welcome!

I've had mine for just over a month now, love the EB the turbos do a great job of spooling that engine up. Tons of power as you know. My son owns a Ford repair shop and swears by them and although the V8 has attributes that some "need" the EB is better in most applications. My son also says that the EB is better for most towing needs and I can believe it as when I put my foot into it the engine has loads of torque. I don't get the whole V8 issue. Ok, sounds better. Big deal, there's a reason Ford and Toyota now are going to the turbo v6 and other turbocharged engines. It's been a good way to minimize engine displacement but still give you that power when you need it. Anyway, I'll likely get lit-up by the V8 fan club but V8's are something that will go away at some point in the future. Just the nature of technology. BTW: I have the 402A with the only option deleted of the pano roof. I've had enough sunroofs that I felt I didn't need this large piece of glass on the top. I'd keep the shade closed most of the time anyway. I love all the convenience options really enjoying these features. I'll have this truck for a long time so I didn't hold back.

I have everything but Blue Cruise and Torsen. I didn't do the order so I would have added Torsen.....no idea about Blue Cruise as the adaptive is good enough for me.

I'm also not a sunroof fan because of glare, however, I got ceramic tint on it and now I never close the cover.

I think it's OK. Doesn't sound quite as clear as the Reval system in the Lincoln, but I probably won't make any changes to it.

Not sure if its true, but my dealer mentioned that Blue Cruise was still in development and they had halted adding it to new trucks due to bugs and other tech issues?

Torsen is the only must have option. 402A I great with all the tech and nice to have features.

I would put the Hi-Lock way above Torsen. You can throw a Torsen or pin lock in the front super easy.

Congratulations! I am also moving down in size from a dually superduty. Mine was amazing and problem free, but just a 10,000lb monster of a truck that I didn’t need the capacity of anymore.

I'm trading my 2022 F250 Tremor 7.3 for 150 Tremor with 5.0... I don't tow anything but I did want the 150 Tremor at first but I'm not a fan of the 3.5 EB. Really happy when ford offered 5.0 for 23 MY.

Welcome! Get the hi-lock and torsen. For me, I would have added the workspace console (the console lid is a waste of space otherwise) and had I known I was going with a super pacific camper, the power tailgate would have been on my list, if it were available.

I have the 402A and love the heated and cooled seats. Don’t have the moonroof, which I never used on any of my previous vehicles and I always felt like the cab is quieter without one. My big 3 needs other than the 402a package were the trailer tow (brake controller), bed utility (bed lights and old man step) and Torsen.

My initial thoughts were to go 5.0 because I really love the V8 sound. I told myself I could make up for the power later with a supercharger but I've been down that road before and it's not cheap. I also knew it'd be a while before I ever got to putting the supercharger on to preserve the warranty.

Having listened to some pretty good aftermarket setups for the 3.5 exhaust coupled with better power stock (especially at altitude) and cheaper power upgrade options (tunes), I decided I could skip on the 5.0.

This was the final build I decided to order through Granger earlier this month. Most options minus sunroof, tonneau, and BlueCruise

I know this is a little late. I recently saw a video, can't remember what I was watching. He was talking about complaints of not being able to hear all of the speakers, especially the headrests. He explained and showed that the front rear balance should be set with the dot just behind the cupholders for best balance. He said most set it too far forward and that cuts off too much. I checked my settings today and sure enough, the balance was way forward. I moved it to behind the cupholders and I can easily hear the headrest speakers now and overall sound is improved.

I'm no audiophile however I.think the system simmons rather good. Some adjustments need to be made on bass, treble, and highs .as well as sound balancing as pointed out but overall it sounds good.

100% agree with this. If the 402A had not had the Hi-Lock I'd just get a Lariat with locker ect. To me it's what makes it a Tremor, with the Torsen. Raptor goodies while still being work-capable. Otherwise you may as well just get an XLT or Lariat (no offence 400A/401A guys)
