Hey....new member. Waiting on arrival of my loaded up 2023 Tremor. Coming from '19 Lariat that I have a BDS lift kit with Fox coilovers, 35" tires, etc. Loved the BDS kit, but unfortunately still nothing in the works for kit from them. I had checked with them almost a year ago when I first thought of ordering up a Tremor.

Through my research on here, and on the internets...appeared only options were leveling kit, Rough Country kits (now have 4" lift kit....but don't trust Rough Country stuff)....and various others. But appears the Halolifts coilover kits could be the way to go to at least get truck leveled up from the horrible rake they have, and to fit larger wheel / tire combo.

Can I get confirmation from members on the following that have gone the Halolifts route:
1. Is there any real concern on the CV angles with Mountain 2.0 coilover kit setup to get truck fully leveled or with very minor rake biased towards the front?
2. Is there an option to substitute the 2.5 coilovers into their Mountain kit....and is it worth it to upgrade to those if possible?
3. Confirm that an 18x9 or 20x9 wheel with +20 offset will fit 35"x12.5 tire with no clearance issues....even under full or close to full articulation if off-roading? Is +1 offset possible without issues to get a little poke?

Would love to be doing BDS kit but if this Halolifts kit is quality, and gets 35's on my truck leveled out....then maybe doesn't need to be an interim fix.

Thanks for the help!

There is at least three members on here that have the BDS kit installed. BDS does not have an actual kit for the Tremor. But it will be one inch shorter with the coilovers unless you adjust them up and one inch taller with the puck. You loose the skid plates (BDS has a bad a$$ one coming soon) and there is no drop bracket for the rear brake lines. The Tremor‘s brake lines come down the center of the diff. Regular F-150’s come down the drivers side of the diff. And if you had a lift before you know they have to cut part of the frame. If going level, the Halo set up seems to be the best bang for the buck out there right now.

Thanks for reply. Yeah...was a bit nervous when I did BDS kit on my brand new truck knowing they had to cut the frame. But quality of the whole kit is exceptional. And nice having ability to throw on 35's with no concerns on clearance at all. But looking like I'm just going to go the Halo setup route. Far cheaper as well. And maybe see what BDS comes up with for Tremor specifically down the road.

I have the halo-lift coil overs and I'm doing a 18mm offset wheel with 35's as soon as I get my truck back to CA. Leveling the front up as high as the CV's will alow and I will massage the crash bars. I'll document everything as best I can.

Also...those running the Halolift / Elka coilover kits.....what is most common size choice for the rear blocks? When I called Halolifts...they said 2.5" block most common. Saw option for tapered Raptor like block, and other sizes.

I’ve got the halo coil overs and 35s on 20x9 with +20. I run a little but turned the coilovers down like 8 turns from when they were delivered. Will probably go up a few turns in the near future.

When you say you turned them down… you mean added lift right? How’s the ride quality? I like your stance

Sorry no I meant I lowered the height. I need to raise it up a bit now.

Ride is good but subjective vs stock since I believe the biggest factor is going with a 35” 10 ply tire. It’s definitely better than the procomp level which people say doesn’t affect ride quality.

Yeah I think I’m gonna do C load rating. I really don’t tow heavy and I am looking for comfort. I’ll keep the halos at the height I receive them and can always adjust from there. Thanks for the reply!

Nitto recon grappler 315/70/17 and 295/70/18 are both available in an SL rating. I have the 295/70/18 E rated and that made more of a difference in my ride then the halos did.
Awesome I will look into SL tires. Love Nitto! They balance and last really well. I had E rated tires on my 1/4 ton and I remember it rode horribly! 😂

Every non-E rated tire I have ever had got sidewall damage or similar failure long before the tread wore out. So I just stick with E-rated now. I'll trade a little comfort and efficiency for reliability.

Yeah the C rated BFG’s I had on my old truck started wobbling after like 25k miles. Is this is a c rated thing or a BFG thing I wonder? I drive about 100-200 miles a day so just want to go as far away from the jarring bouncy ride I previously had.
How do the halos feel with the e rated tires? If it’s comfortable I will just go that route because I totally agree, they are much more reliable and less prone to uneven wear and issues as the miles go up.

You can tell they are stiffer but still very comfortable.

It still rides fine with e’s just not as nice as it could be, I would have gotten the SL version if they were available when I bought mine. I’m also on pavement 99 percent of the time and knowing that pretty much every f150 sold comes with SL rated tires I think it’s ok. If your hitting the trails then that’s different.

I should add the caveat that between hunting, camping, towing, and being on construction site, my tires probably see more action than most F-150s.

E rated tires still get nails. 😜
