Ordered 22 tremor
Current Ride #2
18 f150
I ordered a 2’ auto spring spacer for my 22. I put an are topper on it and it still had 3 3/4 inches of rake.
so I figured I’d go with a 2” spacer till blistering had the 6112’s for our trucks. That leads me to today.
I hooked up my trailer to the truck. Front was 38” and back was at 38 3/4’s. With out the trailer it’s 42 1/2 wheel well to the Ground.
wondering if others are seeing that much squat?
my trailer is a 7x14 alum in-line snowmobile trailer with one sled in it.
‘none of my other f150’s squatted like that.
‘also debating air bags now so I’m not bottoming out...

this weekend i towed our side by side on a 1500 lb trailer and was def surprised at how much squat there was. there's a post about replacing the rear leafs on here lots of good info there.

I was shocked as well.
I did read though a lot of the towing forums on here. and well i decided to order the roadmaster active suspension set up. I ordered the hd one. Its saying it will add an inch of height to the rear of the truck but gets rid of the squat. Reviews were very high on it. So going to see what happens. Going to be here Sunday so hoping to have it on Sunday or Monday.

I also just learned about that looks very interesting to say the least

Yes it squats, first this truck was built to use off-road, if they stiffened the suspension too much you would lose articulation, also having longer travel it will allow it to squat more before it ramps up. From what I've seen the RAS is the way to go for now

I am picking up my new 22 Tremor 402a (1522 payload) tomorrow morning. The dealer already installed a 2" Ready Lift level on it. First thing I'm doing is going to grab my boat and check the squat. We have a Tige Z1 which weighs 4860 dry and the trailer is approx. 1400 to 1500 lbs. I have not checked tongue weight but wake boats are typically 5%ish so not crazy by any means. Still, I'm mentally prepared for it to squat more than I'm comfortable with so I'm researching airbags if it's crazy. If it's not too bad I'll probably just add the Falcon Tow/Haul shock kit on it.

Either way, I'll be posting up a detailed thread with pics after I get a few tows and launches with it in order to try and help anyone else who may be curious about towing similar loads with this truck.

Your definitely gunna be in the market for bags my side by side n trailer makes it sit level with the same readylift kit

I put the ras kit on mine. It made a world of difference. I don’t feel really any difference in the ride with out the trailer. And with it it hardly squats. Very happy with it. I also put the auto spring 2” kit on the front. Truck has just about an inch of rake. Truck is level with the trailer on it.

Did you put it on yourself or have it done? I’m in the same boat, having the AS and a handful of other things go on tomorrow. But for the few times a year I pull an aluminum horse trailer, I’d don’t want the truck sitting on its A.

I did put it on myself. Very easy install. Simple hand tools and Jack stands. Took me an hour. I think you will be happy with it.

The '21+ F150s all seem to have much softer leafs in the rear than previous years. I think that Ford was trying to match the soft ride quality of the Rams without switching to a coil rear (but I bet this day comes in the next gen since Raptor already got it). I have used airbags on previous F150s (Firestone Ride Rites) with good results and plan to put them on the Tremor when it arrives. Never noticed that they are on when having them at 5 lbs. or less, and they make a world of difference when towing.

Just had the air lift loadlifter ultimate plus kit installed this weekend. Haven’t had a chance to try them out yet with my boat hooked up (just under 7000 lbs). When we bought the boat, the dealer had to actually look at the specs for the truck it squatted so much when we hooked it up.

When it comes to the RAS kit, how big of a difference in ride is there between the SD and HD models? And are they actually different or are they the same but just pre adjusted for one or the other?

Finally went and grabbed my boat today. Squatted like crazy. Much more than I’m comfortable with so bags are going on soon. These trucks tow great but there is no doubt they must be bagged especially if the front is leveled.

Did you ever go with the RAS kit? I’m looking at moving this direction asap, but I’m the same conundrum.

I just went ahead and got the HD kit. Don't have my truck yet so won't be able to test it out for a while. Figured if it stiffens the ride too much I can just pull them off till I need them.
