Morning-

I want a tonneau cover for my truck, but it seems like if you want a liner (I do) then the proper sequence should be 1) liner and then 2) tonneau cover - simply based off weather strip application. So I guess I’ve got to do liner first - I got a quote for the top of the line line-x for $750. Does this seem appropriate or should I continue to shop around? Thanks in advance!

Pull the Trigger, LineX is the best $750 is a decent price, sure some will quote a little cheaper, but a reputable Line X dealer is the way to go! Look at some threads for some tips on LineX . Yes LineX first, then the tonneau. its personal choice on needs, but would recommend the Bak Industries MX4.

Great info - thanks! Yes I’ve had my eye on the bakflip mx4 and it’s about $100 cheaper on Amazon so I plan on doing that myself once the liner is in.

Go to Tonneaucovered.com, they will give you the best price, (call or chat) for around 1k, no tax and free shipping. Have them throw in a tailgate seal for free.

$750 seems plenty fair in today's market. I have Toff liner through the dealer for $699. but they only go through dealers and may be more of a texas thing since Toff is based in Dallas. happy thus far. I'm sure there are better brands.

Just got a price offered for 989 and free shipping no taxes. Amazon is like 1039 and the manufacturer is like 1100. Thanks!

Rhino linings locally did mine for $650(the bed liner) couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

Rhino about 45 mins away from me quoted $550. I’ll gladly save the $200 and drive there since they seem essentially interchangeable with linex.

Autoanything is also good. I bought the Truxedo Sentry which is similar to the BAK for $969. They had a special at the time and I ended up at about $800. Actually BAK and Truxedo are the same company.

Yeah do yourself a favor and get the thicker less abrasive coating as it looks much better and seems to provide more protection. I was going with the more abrasive style that is supposed to be harder and the guy showed me the difference in how it looked and how it stayed, so I went the more expensive route.

Dealer got me Bullet Liner. Has a nice sheen and more UV protection than the basic Line X. They have a lifetime warranty on their liners as well.

Line X quoted me 650. Idk what the dealer paid for Bullet.

bullet looks great w/uv as well $420 -- can't beat that

Following this thread as I am in the need of a tonneau cover, I was set on getting the truxedo sentry ct cover (soft) cuz it rolls up and you can remove the whole cover without using any tools... my buddy recommended the bakflip hard cover as he has it for his f150 with an 8 foot bed...
Is it the same amount of space lost between the truxedo rolled up vs the bakflip hard cover ? I plan on using my truck to lug around my ltz400 quad and yz250 dirtbike, and already can't close the tailgate with my quad in the bed without a tonneau cover....

Also my truck has the bed lining from ford factory option... came out awesome! But a guy from work just got his bed done by bullitliner and is very nice! Lots of sparkles in the lining ! He paid $699 plus tax, and a 6 foot bed... (Connecticut)

Just paid $750 for the premium Line-X option about a week and a half ago.

I have the Sentry and am very happy with it. I thought about the CT, but it tends to get dusty here and thought it would be hard to keep clean. I chose the Sentry over the BAK because of the plastic corners. I've some complaints of those easily breaking off.

I put a Bakflip Revolver X4s on mine and love it. It rolls up and can be removed without any tools should you need the extra bed space. Did a rhino liner on mine. Here in my neck of the woods paid 553.91 with tax for the liner.

lines price is reasonable. mine was similar and am in Phoenix. For the mx4 try realtruck and ask for a discount :) they should give you one...

Pricing seems fair enough and worth doing sooner than later. Below is what I paid in Seattle area last July.

Line-X premium $750
Ceramic window tint for front two windows $195
PPF on pillars and headlights $175

Line-X of Las Vegas is about $600 for the standard and $800 for the premium. Just got the premium sprayed in and installed the Revolver X4S. $1160 for the Cover. Also tossed a Rough Country Matt in the bed ($99). Used my Ford Pass points for the extender.
