Raptor vs Tremor Update

Hello all, I just wanted to post a follow-up regarding comparison between my Gen 3 Raptor and lead foot Tremor. First of all, these are 2 totally different animals (as if you didn’t already know). In my opinion, the Raptor is NOT any better than the Tremor in regard to build quality, power, performance, and comfort. The Raptor, with its adaptive Fox suspension, rides more comfortably on and off road, handles a tad better, and feels a bit quicker with the 3.5 HO. Something that surprised me was the Raptor towed my 7,000 lb. toy hauler TT significantly better than my Tremor, i.e. power and stability. I like the Raptor better than the Tremor, but is it worth purchasing over a Tremor being significantly priced higher? No, it’s not. Unless you use the Raptor for a true Baja truck, stick with the Tremor for better everyday use.

Interesting, better how? I would think the leaf springs, though soft, would be more stable than the coils and 5 link.

It's the rear shocks, they are extremely soft and hardly any dampening on them. That's why everyone is looking for the best alternative rear shocks. Depending on what you want Fox has a universal, Bilstein has a universal, and the RC vertex or kings I think are the only ones that have in the range of our stock extended and compressed lengths, several others for the stock F150 are close enough if not needing full extension for offroad use.
