The RCI skids look great, are they compatible with the factory engine aluminum + silver painted shield that runs under the front bumper? Would welcome feedback from those who have installed.

I don't want to lose the OEM cover, so hopefully the engine cover from RCI plays well with the OEM as opposed to an either-or situation. I'm not able to tell from the photos on their website.

In my opinion, just get the transmission skid plate to replace the fiberboard-like factory one and a gas tank skid plate to replace the plastic one.

Why not go with the Raptor skid plate that replaces that felt cover under the cats / transmission? I plan on doing that to my 2023 5.0 once she arrives.

I ordered the RCI full skid (got free cat protection) less the front the other day. Was told fit would be fine for the Tremor. I'll let you know.

Looking forward to that fitment report. I like our chin but want more protection behind it

This should 100% work. I have a Raptor skid on my '17 with the RCI trans and transfer case skid behind it, and once my Tremor arrives I plan to swap those skids over (along with the fuel tank skid). The only other part I am not sure of is how far the stock engine skid plate goes back. The RCI engine skid is a 2 piece set, and on the previous gen Raptor I could fit the back part of the RCI if I wanted. RCI doesnt list this piece to buy separately, but if you contact them directly they will sell it to you. I was going to do that a year ago before I ordered my Tremor.

Either way, for the OP, you should look at separate pieces rather than the entire full skid package if you want to keep your stock engine skid as you wont be able to run both of the front pieces (not circled image above).

Great post!!!

I ordered the full package during Black Friday. Recommend those of us with Tremors order a "Tremor package" (THIS IS NOT A REAL RCI PACKAGE) which is a trans cover, cat guards, transfer case protector, and the bell-housing area guard that "b-real" circled. The OEM shield offers more frontal protection than the RCI logo plate as you'll see below. I quickly swapped back to OEM for the front cover. The OEM shield and RCI use common mounting points so it's an either/or situation.

Recommend you modify the order. Highly recommend keeping the OEM cover + the RCI back-half cover based on my findings.

I have trans/oil pan skid plate from RCI. Fit was perfect, only complaint is (unless you want oil everywhere) You have to buy a 90 degree oil drain fitting and some tubing to drain oil. No biggie was like 40 ish bucks.

You have a pic of the oil drain plug? I plan to replace mine with a valved one where I can just hook a tube on the end for easy draining, but since I don’t have my truck yet wasn’t sure if these trucks take the Ronin plug or a Fumoto one

@b-real I just got my oil changed and the guy showed me a picture of what to get. I haven't bought one yet. I think it was easy drain? It has a switch on it. It was like 40 bucks. I'll try to see if I can find it.

I'm looking into pulling the trigger on this setup soon since RCI is having a sale. To clarify for the "Tremor Package" I would need to contact RCI to ask if I can just order the back half of the engine skid plate?

Do you have any pictures of the transition from the OEM front skid plate/chin to the RCI engine skid? Do they play nicely.

Correct, you want everything but the logo plate. If you call them, they should understand right away when you tell them you have a Tremor model.

Unfortunately I do not have a photo after reinstalling the factory shield, and my truck is in the body shop else I'd run out and take a photo for you. The OEM and RCI do work well together to give you a complete solution.

Thanks for the info. I have a non tremor F150 but will be doing the front skid plate/chin swap. Glad to hear the tremor plate and half the RCI engine plate line up well.

First post but have been lurking awhile. I was just informed via email to this morning that RCI doesn't sell the second piece the one circled above) separately. I do want to keep my factory front skid for the coverage. Anyone who was able to order that part separately, who did you talk to? I've only been in contact with them via email so maybe calling them would help?

Before I ordered my skid plates from RCI I called them to see about only ordering half the engine skid plate. They said they can't break it up. Lame.

I just kept the factory piece in this location and did from the transfer case back with RCI, but years ago I did a Raptor skid plate on my 17 with the RCI skid plates and inquired with RCI just about that 2nd engine piece and they told me they would sell it separate for $175. They must have changed that policy.

I don't have a Tremor model, the front skid plate/chin is a mod I plan on doing in the future. I went ahead and ordered the full skid plate pack + cat guards + gas tank skid all in aluminum just to get it all protected at once. I'm sure you could sell the front half of the engine skid to recoup a little cash.
