I receive this massage going into reverse ever since getting the bed sprayed:

Rear Brake Assist Not Available

I have it scheduled with the dealer to correct. There appears to be a related Technical Service Bulletin.

Below is the corrective action taken by the Dealership:

Same issue with my truck, dealership stated they did a flash of the computer and updated the system. It has worked fine ever since.

Just curious — what were the circumstances that led up to your issue? I believe mine was the bed liner being sprayed — they disconnected the tailgate.

I had that error message myself right after the spray-in bedliner was done. I fixed it myself by disabling every single item of driver assistance, restarting the truck and driving for 15 minutes (including some backing up), and then re-enabling everything. Went away and no problems since.

Yep! I did not connect the dots until you mentioned it. Starting having issues the day after I picked up the truck from getting the bed liner sprayed. Must be something with disconnecting the tailgate like you mentioned.

So I had my bed recently bed lined and this error message came on. Did what the manual said and nothing worked. Drove about 30 miles and I guess it adjusted and recalibrated. Error screen went away. Hope this helps. Any questions lmk.

I wish that worked for me, I followed the manual as well, nothing worked. Dealership fixed via a computer flash. Either way, we have solutions for future owners. (y)

Is this issue solved yet??? I'm hoping to get me Line-X done this week.

Dam. Just realized I been seeing that message the past couple months but just ignored it. Just thought brand new truck, shouldn't be anything lol. I did get the bed sprayed about a week after picking up the truck. I missed the original post. Thanks for the heads up guys. Will try to correct.

I got this message as well after Line-X was done. Wasn't going away for me. Manual said to drive around with the lane assist on. So I did that for about 100 miles or something and one day the message disappeared for me. So I guess it recalibrated.

Has anyone tried a body control module reset by disconnecting the negative ground on the battery for 30 minutes? flagman

I may try this also. I tried the other stuff mentioned on this thread but no luck yet. It will go away then come back at times. I also have a Carscan code reader for my past vehicles. Not sure if that could work. It's a hassle for me to bring into dealership but will do that as last resort.

I understand the dealership problem as well, and they could charge me. I've had no luck doing all the above as well, worth a try, flagman

I just did this, Left the negative off for 35 minutes and it did not work for me, flagman

I also checked for any codes with an obd 2 tool, it said “0 dtc”, so I guess I might wait and see a week or so and then call dealer for an appointment, flagman

Crap i get this error too and thought it was just something i had to turn ON that i haven't messed with haha ... guess i will try some of the corrections above. The dealership i bought it from is a 2 hour drive from me one way :(

Have you guys had a bed liner done? If so that's the issue it has to recalibrate. Sometimes it will do it itself after a couple of days, if not you can have it recalibrated at the dealer.

Yeah they did the spray in bed liner for me, though they are a 2 hour drive for me to go visit. I wonder if a local dealer would do it for me? I have a 10yr $0 deductible (thought it was $100 but no it's $0) warranty... do you think recalibration would be covered at a different dealer?

Should be under warranty.
