Rear seats...

So I literally just realized that the rear seats don't lock when the bottom section is in the down position. Is that the case for everyone or is something wrong with my seats? I do have the under seat storage with the lock built in but I thought for sure you had to pull the tab to fold the bottom up. No?!

My 2017 was the same way I don't think they've ever locked in the down position. Only in the up position.

Okay. In my Silverado they would lock up and down so I guess I expected that with the F150. I dunno seems kinda weird lol

There are a few threads on the F150 forum with the same issue (driver side seat will pull up without unlatching but passenger side needs to be unlatched). I havent taken delivery of my Tremor yet, but I did order with the lockable under seat storage, so it seems that the seat should indeed need to be unlatched in order to lift up, otherwise what is the point of the lockable storage? Have you locked the seat on the side with the key?

They do not lock in the down position, they do lock in the upright position. My 2017 did not lock in the down position either, I have not seen any that lock in the down position from 2015 on up.

On 21s and down you are correct, but for 21+ with the Partitioned Lockable Fold Flat Storage how does that underseat storage get locked if the seat won’t latch when folded down?

It has a slot in the corner where the 90 degree of the seat is, it's on the plastic trim, and you slot the key that unlocks the spare in and turn it. It basically pushes a pin over so the seat can't fold up.

It works, I tried it as soon as I picked up the truck.

I guess I stand corrected, I've not seen one like that. Thanks @Cranbery for the explanation.
