I'm looking for guidance on rear spring replacement for the Tremor. @RotorHead695 I know you've done it on your Gen 2 but I'm trying to convert that into something usable for the Tremor and I remember you had thoughts on it.

I'm looking to keep the rear relatively the same height/lift while reducing the rate of sag. Basically 400 pounds and it sags some, @800 pounds it sags a lot Carolina squat). I would expect a truck rated for 1640 pounds of payload to be a bit more rigid in the end than these seem to be.

Ideally, I would like to see the level upped by around 400 additional pounds but don't have enough measurements to pull it off.

Any input is appreciated.

Have you checked with Deaver or Icon?
I had put the icon rear springs on my raptor and they came with the option for adding another leaf. (which I didn't use)

Yeah I came home with 1250 pounds of landscaping rocks loaded up and my wife was giving me shit about the squat for a couple days 🤣

I know there are a few options to do this. The main limits are going to be what your ride becomes after the modifications... And how much you want to spend $$$.

Air bags, summo springs, leaf spring helper... those are the ones that come to mind at first. I assume there are also other air suspension kits that entirely replace your tremor shocks. Just not sure on that.

I am interested to see what you come up with though. I have yet to take delivery and I will be towing a boat with about 750 lb tongue weight plus a few other items in the bed / cab when it finally gets here.

I spoke with Deaver, they hadn't seen what they needed for the 21+, yet. Icon doesn't have anything non-raptor that I can find.

I ordered the roadmaster active suspension to see if that helps me where I need it without affecting my off road travel. The nice thing about RAS is that I can drop and reinstall them in minutes.

After I read your post this morning I went down the rabbit hole of looking into options and came across those. They look very interesting!

I really don’t want to degrade the unloaded ride… I would love to hear how you like them once installed.

Good to know they are easy on easy off as well!

Will do. The reports I'm hearing they also improve unladen ride but I'm a bit more critical and aren't getting paid

I had seen the RAS myself and was considering that route as a possibility, let us know if it's all smoke or legit.

I ordered the regular and not the HD. I read the 2 inch squat not as a difference of the rear unladen vs loaded but as front to back and my trailer (before wdh reconfigure) was about an inch of squat

On another note, I figured out what it takes to perfectly level my truck.

(4) 112 pound tires stood up close to the cab, one laying down behind them, (4) 40 pound bags of smoking pellets on that rear tire and a TPMS sensor added to my spare.. oh, and a case of some fuzzy water for my wife. So ~738 pounds, 5 ounces.

I have the Eibach springs up front, so even without any weight in the bed I would sit slightly nose high on the OEM leaf springs. (They lift the front around 2.75" if I remember correctly.) I carry ~400lbs at all times between my canopy and gear. So working with a vendor, Apollo Optics, he recommended the Deaver +3HD springs. It now sit's level with my static load load. In hindsight, I wish I had gone with the +4HD as I get a little sag when I have the weight in the bed and a trailer attached.

I'm guessing the rear height of the Gen2 is moderately higher than the gen13 f150?

I'm in conversion mode. Tremor is 1.5" higher than (I think) the gen13. I'm guessing the gen2 is also higher than the Gen 13 in the rear.

Knowing I won't be getting 2+" lift in the front anytime soon, I'm shooting for 1.5" Front lift with less than 2" sag with trailer attached. I should be able to compensate for that with the RAS.

My (current) endgame is + 1.5" up front with a total 2" rake (with 500 pounds in the bed) and removing the rear blocks. All this while maintaining my tow and payload capacities.

I did some searching around and a stock 2017-2018 Gen2 Raptor sits at: rear 41” and front 39”. Mine is a 2018 so this measurement would fit.

What block height came stock?
I'll also call Apollo Optics. Hopefully they'll think of any things I miss.

Unfortunately I didn't think to look at the block. To be honest....I don't remember getting a block back when I had the springs changed out. I gave them and my coils to my nephew for blacksmithing.

Ask for Chad Lindley at Apollo. He's very active on the Raptor forums and has probably one of the most badass builds I've seen. I had previously invited him to the F150 Tremor group on Facebook, so you might find him that way as well.

Any experience with adding air bags to the stock set up? I wouldn't want to ruin the unloaded ride and if they were kept at the minimum pressure when unloaded it might not be bad. But some guys say the bags make their trucks stiff. I suspect they are keeping the bags inflated. I just hate the sag when there is any load in the back or pulling a trailer.

gonna start with timbren and possibly add RAS as we tow a 6k camper with WD hitch. Goal is to assist with squat and improve handling while towing

I would think a set of rear shocks would be what you need unless your truck is also loaded with additional weight. Our rear shocks don't do a lot of dampening. Anything (total payload) north of 800 pounds, I would look into RAS or timbren.

I get my RAS, today so I should be able to test them out, this weekend and will report back.

I considered it but for me, loosing the articulation is not an option and to do it how I would consider "right" would cost $2500. Which is why I'm trying RAS.
