Is anyone else seeing this message? I literally get this message almost daily from my truck. It's getting really annoying. Starting to think my battery has a bad cell or something?

Example: Drove to work @ 7:30am, locked the truck. Got something out of the truck (did not move the truck) at 1:42pm, closed door. Sat back down at my desk and got this Ford Pass message through the APP on my phone @ 1:44pm.

It literally does the same if I get into my truck an hour or 2 after being home and close the door as well. I get the Ford App message saying that same thing.

I have not seen that yet. I’d be irritated as well. That’s one of my favorite features of the new truck.

You could have a bad battery. A lot of the new Gen 3 Raptors have had battery issues.

Take the truck by advance auto or one of the other car parts stores, they'll test the battery for free, then you have something to go on when you approach the service department.

Yep, that was the plan.

I did call the Ford Dealership and asked if they have seen this issue yet. Basically all I got from them is no, but batteries can be bad (well ya duh!). I also mentioned I was going to go an Auto Parts Store close to me and have the battery tested. The Ford Service Dept said to that “we have to do more in depth testing to deem its bad for replacement.”

The truck is a few weeks old, it’s clearly under warranty. I just fear a dealership is going to try and charge something to test a battery at this point if nothing is found and I have to make an appointment…. It’s a damn battery test.

Any I’ll be hitting the local auto parts store or interstate battery first to test it.

I'm getting the same message too

I get this all the time. Seems like a bug in the software to me mine also is worded a bit different stating that the vehicle is in "deep sleep" but its disabled even right after i get out after a long drive

I saw this only one time - a day or so after I took delivery of the Tremor. Thought for sure that something was wrong, BUT I never saw the message again.........

We got the message a couple of times on my wifes bronco sport. For the is 6 mo it was only a fair weather weekend vehicle and sometimes go 2 weeks before being used. Thinking it was just a software glitch. Remote start still worked via app and key. Battery checked out okay as well.
I would have the battery checked like others have mentioned just to be safe

I leave mine in the garage sometimes for a week at a time and never have gotten that. I even check the tire pressure remotely since I was curious how much it dipped for the cold weather. From above responses sounds like if I left it longer might have gotten that message as well.

Just and FYI for this old thread. Since Ford has been using AGM batteries its a good idea to check the voltage across the terminals. It should be around 12.8-13.0 Volts if it's fully charged. 12.0 Volts is about half full and anything below 11.00 Volts is flat and causes damage. Extended periods of not driving or short trips will not let the battery fully recharge. And of course a bad cell or battery is always a possibility. But a good charge with an AGM rated battery charger usually fixes the problem.

Just got an F250 Tremor a few days ago with dual batteries and 397 amp alternator. I’m getting the same message. Did you find out what causes this?

You get this message when your battery is 12.0-12.1 volts or 50-60 percent.

Okay, maybe I need to drive it more? I’ve had it for a few days now and haven’t gone more than 50 miles. I get this message about 4-5 times a day. I have dual batteries so not sure why they’re less than 60%. Any idea on how many miles it would take to get them charged to where they should be? The truck has no problem starting up.

I have a trickle charger but seems kinda ridiculous putting it on a brand new truck.

Take a 50 mile round trip and you should be good to go.

I used to get this a lot on my Edge ST. In my case, I think it's because I don't drive often. My vehicle sometimes doesn't move for more than a week and then only a few miles. Possibly in the case of the Tremor, many of them have been sitting around a while and the battery is probably barely alive. Driving frequently should cure the issue.

Funny, with all my recent electrical work, I decided to check my battery. 11.8V so I ran it, then put it on a charger to fully charge it.
The next day, 12.2V.

After some messing around, disconnecting everything I added, and ran it a bit, I turned it off and watched my volt meter show it drop from 12.8V to 12.6 in just a few minutes.

Never got a message though

Just put a voltmeter to it. Both batteries are 12.6 volts so idk if this is correct. I think it’s the stupid software/ “app.”
I tired to avoid electronics and “automation” as much as possible for this very reason.

Could be a module, that's what they replaced on mine when the pro power went out coincidentally the same time they pushed an update through on my truck. Which I personally believe caused the issue.
