I've noticed several times that when I remote start while it's cold out the seats don't turn on and the heater isn't going when I get in. I have the auto selected in the settings. Am I missing something?

Check your remote start settings.

Same settings as mine. I remote start it then get in the truck and the heated seats are off. I press the start button then the seat lights come on. Figure it should have them on before I get in.

How cold is it outside? I know the seats, mirrors and steering wheel only come on when it's below a certain temp. Not sure what temp it is.

I know the lights on the buttons are not lit up until I press the start button. But as Fozzy mentioned the truck will decide if they should be on based on the outside temp. I forget what the temp parameters are but I know I've read them somewhere before.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I'll experiment more. BTW it's 30 out. No settings on the Ford pass app to select them right? Didn't see anything.

That should be plenty cold to activate them.

I want to say that mine activated around 40° outside.

So just remote started and let it sit for a few minutes. Seats and wheel are warm to the touch. It's currently 47 out and truck has been sitting for a few hours.

The panel doesn't light any feature until the truck is powered on. Note the rear defrost button, when lines are already likely forming on the rear window. For me it was most obvious in the summer when the seats would be audibly venting, but the button was blacked out.

That being said, them not powering on might still be an issue, just don't look to the lights to be the verification that they are working or not.

Look at this guy... The seats AND the wheel are warm to the touch.:ROFLMAO:

My truck must be permanently broken since my wheel never warms up. Thanks for the $140, Ford...

Pretty sure you can change the temp setpoint of when the truck decides to turn on heated seats/steering wheel via Forscan, I remember seeing something in Forscan when I was dicking around in there.

I swear my seats aren't beginning to warm up until I get in and press start. Those seats don't take long to heat up so ten minutes of remote start they should be toasty.
