Just curious if anyone has considered removing the rear blocks (2" on Tremor?) to level the rake a bit, instead of lifting the front (I know, blasphemy). I like the look of the 33's, and doubt I'll throw anything else under there. Also, curious how much this would effect payload/towing. Truck was ordered with tow pkg. Doubt I'll ever have more than 500-800 lbs in the bed, and likely towing about a 3-6k camper a few times a year (not yet purchased).

Any input greatly appreciated.

Pulling the blocks will not affect towing, payload or suspension total articulation. The only potential issue I see is if the rear shocks are longer than a regualr F-150 (not sure on this) they may be fully compressed before you hit the bump stops. This seems unlikely though.

I don't like messing with perfection ;) I don't mind the rake

Appreciate the input, Bannerman! Just looking for that sweet spot ;)

I’m curious to see this. I like the look of the truck hooked to a trailer better than the ones with a level so far.

I’ve thought about downsizing the blocks an inch or 2. Not sure how big they are.

I think they are 1.5”

Was under the impression it was 2", but maybe not. Think I'll likely drop 1" from the rear blocks and see how it looks, and maybe recruit about 6-800 lbs of assistance to stand on the bumper before dropping more. Will definitely post straight-on pics if so, but looking like a March delivery, so may be a while. Would love to see more trailer pics on here, with tongue weights, in the interim!

I was considering the same, but was concerned about shock travel. If the travel
Is not an issue I will do it. Just need some specs on the mystery shocks.

If you install the standard F150 blocks and ubolts it will lower the rear of the truck 1” and make things look much better. Everything will bolt up very easy

Thanks @Gibson

I found a few post but thought while I was doing it to snap a few pics. I’ve done this on my last 2 Fords, but on both 2014 & 18 I removed the block. On the Tremor I’m not looking to make it level, just take a bit of the rake out so I’ll be switching the rear blocks for a FX4 block from my 2018 and the wedged Tremor blocks about 1 1/4” difference.
You’ll need the blocks, new u bolts and new
bolts.

Loosen the nuts 13/16 put a floor jack under the spring just in front of the axle. Raise the springs up just enough to get the Tremor block out about 1/2” above the block. Switch it out with the smaller one, lower the spring down and make sure the 2 pins are seated. Change out the u bolts and snug it up with equal spacing on everything.

Torque the nuts 26 cross pattern 52, 74 then 98 then after 100 or so km re torque.
Turned out as I thought just took a bit of the rake out and should work well with the plan for a slide in camper and hauling the boat

Part numbers I used besides the blocks as I had those from my 2018 are
W520215-S441 U Bolt nuts
ML3Z 5705 B U Bolts

What did you end up going with? I’m debating on removing the blocks or switching to a 1” block and was curious where you ended up.

I just ordered everything to complete the rear block removal (2WD u-bolts and new nuts). If I were to upgrade my rear shocks at some point, would it make sense to install shocks meant for a 2WD F-150?

Bilstein shows 3 different P/N's for 5100 shocks in 4WD, and a 4th completely different P/N for 2WD. The 4WD shocks state the difference is for how much lift is in the rear: 0" - 1" (P/N 33-253190), 2" (P/N 33-318950), or 4" (P/N 33-318967). All 4 P/N's have different collapsed and extended lengths (which makes sense).

I almost feel like the 4WD P/N's are for the thinner blocks (0" - 1" of lift), the thicker blocks (2" of lift), and possibly an add-a-leaf (4" of lift).

I had to look up a 2022 Lariat 4WD because Tremors show no compatible parts: https://cart.bilsteinus.com/results...En=3669711516854242832&Bo=2688952089253976505

Thanks in advance!

Thinking about putting a 2" block on the rear with the halo kit as I don't want to stress the CVs by going with a 2.5 lift. I would also think the ride would stay close to stock floaty with more strut travel. Thoughts?

I swapped the factory blocks from a 4wd F150, dropped the rear 1", looks a bit better now. Didn't take long, no more than a hour. I can't believe the amount of rake Ford has in the Tremor, if they raised the front another inch that would have been acceptable for me.
