I know I could go through Granger, but if I can go through a local-ish dealer with x-plan pricing and the tax savings from my trade, the cost difference isn’t really worth the hassle of going to Iowa (for me).

Does anyone have experience with Florida dealers and custom orders with x-plan pricing? Recommendations? Tampa area preferred, but I’d be willing to drive around the state.

Thanks in advance!

I am not aware of any Florida dealers I can recommend, but I will recommend you get something in writing stating they will accept X-plan. Dealers are not required to honor it, so I would insist on something in writing.

Just a thought... Have you checked with Brandon Ford? I have not personally dealt with them, but I know they are one of the largest volume dealers in the country. I don't know if that helps or hurts your cause, but at the very least they should be able to get a truck quickly.

They are on my list. My hope is that x-plan terms keep any funny business at bay.

I’ve heard Ferman moves a lot of Raptors, so I’ll check them out, too.

Just trying to reduce the search down to recommended dealers/reps if anyone on the forum has first hand experience. I appreciate your input!

Good luck! I know it's hard to find good dealers out there! If you have a positive experience, post it on here so others can use them too.

I got mine last December from Parks Ford in Wesley Chapel. Found one they had incoming and put my deposit on it. At the time, they were the only dealer I could find within about a 500 mile radius that would take X plan (I live in Orlando), and I called just about every one.

That’s really helpful. They are close to me.

If you have a specific rep (that you’d recommend…), can you PM me their details?

I also got mine from Parks Ford, I think I got a great deal. My salesman was Michael Owens

I don’t remember the sales guy’s name. I called/texted with a couple people in the month or two while I waited for the truck to arrive. All their people seemed very good. I only ever went to the dealership to pick it up.

Bought my 22 402A with Torsen and other upgrade options at Bozard Ford in St Augustine last Feb.

I recieved X Plan purchase on a new arrival that never hit the lot. Believe it saved me around $4,500.

I had a 22 Platinum on order they offered this instead as it was coming in on a truck.about 4 months ahead of my order.

Great purchasing experience, I worked through two salesman as one was headed out on vacation during my purchase / Trade in.

Salesman name was Tyler.

Can highly recommend this dealer also they sell at MSRP and no ADM on anything including Raptors orders.

I went with Brandon Ford (I’m a repeat customer). Salesman - Tommy Shelly. They will sell new orders at MSRP and as long as it qualifies X-plan. I cancelled my 23 due to commodity concerns and bought a 22 Tremor w/402a pkg just under MSRP.

Brandon Ford is asking for my X-Plan PIN up front before doing literally anything. Is this normal? I thought the PIN is only required upon delivery.

Is there any risk to supplying a PIN early? I’m not even sure I want to go with this dealer, honestly.

I have heard of other dealers asking for it up front, but I don't know that it's necessary at all. But there's no risk in providing it up front... It kind of baffles me that Ford dealers operate the way they do. In most cases (Lincoln Dealer), we generate our X-plan PINs for our customers.

They probably just want to verify it before placing the order?

I just didn’t want to give my PIN to one dealer, ultimately want to go with another dealer, but have some issue with my PIN being accepted at my dealer of choice because another dealer tied it up or something.

Custom ordering, Ford, and X-Plan are all new to me.

You should be fine. The PIN is in your name (obviously), and the dealer can't 'use' it or lock it in until you literally purchase your truck. There's no way for a dealer to have it tied up anything.

I went through Karl Flammer Ford in Tarpon Springs. Back in the August, I was having a hard time getting dealers to even respond to take my order under X plan. Doug at Karl Flammer followed up and has been solid so far. Waiting on delivery and fingers crossed there are no shenanigans. My priority code is 19 if that is relevant info.
