X2. Now the only thing missing is my fox suspension & she will be complete! Thanks for the heads up on the discount & the part number gents 🍻

Dude you rock. My dealer forgot my bed extender I ordered. I got it for less than they would have charged! Thanks!

welp - i ordered the Torsen ... I'll create a separate thread when I either install it or find a shop to do it for me
Dumb question, but I assume this is the same one that they install in the factory and adding it after the fact isn’t going to mess anything up or require any other parts???? Torsen was an oversight on my part when I ordered mine and I’m thinking about ordering the part.

Same Part, just going to cost you a lot more to get it installed after the fact.

Yup it's the same part - I confirmed with Torsen directly that it is the same that is included in the factory option. Ford can't seem to get a good answer or want you to buy it directly.

Ford is now using Bilstein for whatever reason, I don't know if their switching everything over to them or if their just using them for their upgraded suspension kits.

I’ve inquired with two dealers about installing the Torsen. One told me it wasn’t a factory option and it would cause me warranty issues. Completely incorrect and I nixed them pretty quick. The other didn’t have really any idea what the Torsen was and I’m still waiting on a price to install. Unfortunately now it’s too late to get 20% off on the part.

One step closer! Install is on the 29th by a reputable axle shop here in Riverside. They are estimating 3 to 4hrs @ $175 per hr.

Nice! I'm trying to get a quote from a local shop that I had install gears on my Tacoma a few years ago. They did mention that they will only install diffs with new carrier bearings since in their experience the bearings get damaged during removal. Even if they can be re-used they won't last as long as they should.

I still have to find the part numbers for the bearings to get those ordered. I chatted with Ford Performance and they suggested to contact a dealer for the bearings.

Ford performance directed you to talk to a dealer about a part? That's a first usually the dealer calls them to figure out the needed part of it's a specialty part. I hope they can help you with that personally I'd go through an off-road shop and get something that is gonna be able to handle more abuse than a factory part if I were going to the trouble of doing the install after the fact.

On a side note it is very much worth it if you plan to use the truck off-road. I use to have an Isuzu trooper that was built a little and put several jeep Cherokees to shame and this truck I personally believe can compare to it with the exception of the longer wheel base. The front torsen is a must if planning on going to push the truck off-road.

I ordered the bed mat from Ford OEM with this discount, well worth it. Delivered to my door for 7 dollars. Highly recommend. Will post pics in my build thread when I make it but either way other people have already posted pics in case someone hasn't seen it.

My shop said the same thing. They are including new seals, fluid & bearings in the install.
