For those that ordered from Chapman Ford in Horsham PA, what was your experience like? I did a ton of research before I placed my order on 12/23 and saw mostly postive reviews. My experience so far has not been what I expected so I'm curious if this is how ordering a new truck is in general or if it's dealer specific?

I requested a quote on my build which they promptly replied to. I then replied to that email and informed them I wanted to proceed with the order. I didn't hear anything for a day or two so I called and they said they were just really busy but would put the order in ASAP. It was the week before Christmas so that's totally understandable. While on that call I asked about the price they quoted me, I was told that was the price I will pay plus I could add incentives on top of that.

My order was submitted and I received a confirmation email from Ford on the same day. 3 days later Ford announced they were increasing the price on F150's but were offering price protection for orders already received.

Chapman is saying that they will not honor the price protection because its too much work for them to submit the paperwork to Ford. I have a $1,000 PCO so it will offset that price increase, or so I thought... originally I was told that as long as it's valid at time of order (which it was) it can be used. Now they are telling me it has to be valid at time of order AND time of delivery, which would be nearly impossible because these trucks are taking forever to build.

Each week that goes by the truck keeps getting more expensive and the story keeps changing.

If you can get out of the deal intact, you may consider buying with Zach at Ford in Granger, Iowa. Seen some guys on these forums going hundreds of miles to drive their new trucks home from Iowa.

Oof, hate that for you man. Makes me glad I went with Granger though. Chip, @zach@granger and team were super responsive when I ordered 12/21. Now if I could just get a VIN.....

Online I have heard good things and I bought my Gladiator last year from them (wasn't an order though).

I currently have a Tremor on order and ordered just after thankgiving....so far experience has been great...I signed off on the order sheet and received an email immediately from ford....As far as pricing I believe it will stay the same as at time of order (Stellanis for the TRX can change it but Ford goes by order date).

I don't know about PCO though as I had one that expired in September but didn't order at that time

I did send a plumber that was working on my house over to chapman just based on web recs from JL wrangler forum as he was looking to purchase a wrangler new....he bought with them and said that I saved him thousands of dollars

Sidebar, just curious, is the Tremor replacing your Gladiator?

yes, I actually already sold the gladiator already because I couldn't pass up on the deal.....loved the gladiator but it is just a bit too small for my family (I have 3 kids and wife is a pediatrician so we have gigantic car seats)

I have just one rugrat but two large dogs so my Tacoma is the same way. Pretty excited to be back in a full-size though.

What carseats does she recommend? My attorney wife loves buying expensive crap for the kid....

Nice, I had a '16 taco when we had our first....my wife likes the Britax seats but they are heavy and big. I was able to fit 3 seats across in the gladiator (barely) by using 2 Dione Radian RXT seats and the Britax for the 1 year old but now that my 2 older kids are getting up past booster age (6 and 4 y/o) I tried making the switch to boosters for those 2 and it was so tight that I had to have them crawl under seatbelt and then I realized that turning around the third seat will make it impossible which was the final straw....I know I'll miss the jeep as it is awesome driving doors/top off in the summer but nothing beats a full size as a family vehicle (have had 3 F150s...2002 XL, a 2015 platinum and a 2019 raptor)....I actually was going with another raptor but saw a tremor in person and really liked it along with the narrower body, regular gas and close to $20k savings....plus driving both a '21 raptor and tremor I actually felt like the tremor was faster, or at least a bit lighter....both awesome though

Coming from a Raptor, I’m surprised to see you get the 401A, I figured you would want to keep that Raptor transfer case and 4Auto and get the 402A?

Our friends swear by the Britax as well, when he out grows his Uppababy I’ll look into those, thanks

good point but I feel like if I jump up to 402A I would just go with a 800A raptor, I will miss auto 4wd but my gladiator didn't have that and I did just fine....off road I think the 401A will be good enough off road especially with the torsen front diff. I don't do that much off roading, just driving on the beach occasionally in the summer, winter snow driving to/from work and occasional off road driving that is pretty mild

Oh for sure offroad it'll be great! I thought the most of the advantage of the 4A was on-road performance? Rain, light snow etc. Situations that you may want the added traction but don't want that center diff locked up because of pavement. But you would know more about it than me so correct me if I am wrong.

true, I did use it a lot in rain and light snow where the road was partly cleared....I do wish they had it on the 401A, even if it was a bit more $$$....One other reason I didn't go 402A was I prefer cloth (although I'll admit that leather is so nice on the 402A in person)

I ordered from them on 1/3. I had been in talks with them before Christmas and got everything sorted out to place my order. I’m kind of in the same boat with the PCO. I had a $3k that expired on 1/3. It says specifically on my PCO that it covers in-stock and retail orders as long as the order is placed within the pco valid dates. I’m hoping mine can be used as well. 🤞
