Looking for opinions on replacing original General 275 to a 295 tire. Leaning towards GoodYear Duratrac or BF Goodrich KO based on reviews

I have read no mods or issues with 295s instead of the 275 size

Do a search- so many threads on 295's. Also look at Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T. But you can't go wrong with BFG's either.

Why do you want a bigger tire? I see everyone going that way. I would thing besides the power loss your mpg will go down. I don't see the advantage.

Ground clearance and anesthetics. It fills the wheel wells nicer.

Looks. Ground clearance. If you just drive on the road, no advantage.

Just think of it this way ... Add 1" taller tires, you get 1/2" more clearance.
Plus a 2" level adds even more under the front diff/skid plate.

A whole 1/2". Not worth it to me for the loss of power and mpg . Plus you can't get chains on the front in stock configuration. I put 2-1/2" level kit on mine so chains won't tear it up.

I went to 295's just because I like the look of a bigger sidewall and it was time for me to replace the stock tires anyways. I did choose one of the lightest 295 (10ply) tire I could get. So far I like them. Amazing in the rain and very good in the snow.

I put the BFG K03’s on my 22 tremor. Absolutely love them! My humble opinion.

Depends on what you want from the tire use wise. Street, dirt roads, snow, rock crawling, sand, etc…. I have heard horror storries about balance issues with BFG tires from multiple tire shops. Personally I would look at Falken Wildpeak AT4 and Toyo R/T Trail. Both a quiet, well constructed and have good feedback/reviews from owners. Baja Boss is a great tire but are heavy as hell which hurts fuel mileage, acceleration and harder on the brakes. Good luck.

Lift the truck and the CG goes up. Less stability. Larger diameter tires and ground clearance increases by half the diameter increase and the CG goes up. Clearance issues may arise between the wheel well and tire. Larger diameter wheels may handle bumps in the road/dirt surface better. There are numerous factors to consider. I try to ignore "appearance considerations" but don't always succeed. Imagine tire and wheel choices like a spiderweb with lots of factors. Change a single feature and the whole web shakes around. There is never a clear best case.
