1-week ownership, ~1100mi. I was piddling around on gravel by cabin, all was good then stopped to activate mud/ruts mode(worked great minutes earlier) to drive up blown out road and SES messages showed up.

Truck will still go into 4H but will not lock rear diff/error msg comes up.

Dealer on Monday 🤦 Road bike is getting worked lately.

Update, drove up/down rugged forest road 6mi in 4H yesterday (no dayz off). Today, mud/ruts mode elicited no error and locker will turn on/off. I'll still stop by dealer this week to have it looked over, more info TBA.

Hopefully it's a one off occurrence.

These things are controlled by the computer, sometimes you will get goofy nonsense like that, turning the truck off and letting it completely shutdown and then restarting usually will fix it. I know it's stupid but it happens, ( I haven't had it happen in my truck....yet). Side note I took a new bronco for a test drive at the local dealer, while trying it out it had a computer brain fart and got stuck between 2h and 4low, I really didn't want to have to call the dealer and explain that I broke their brand new bronco about 3 miles off the nearest paved road. Shut it down waited a minute and restarted, everything worked fine, so I headed back to dealer, stopping by the carwash on the way. (Side note if in the neighborhood and considering buying a vehicle may want to ask who test drove the vehicle 😁 I tend to put them through their paces).

Does the Gen 14 F-150 have a pin lock rear diff or plates?
