In their infinite wisdom Ford had General build an SL rated Grabber.
As of this posting, General doesn't even acknowledge the F150 as a vehicle they make tires for (because what manufacturer would admit building an SL rated "off road" tire?)

Whatevs, Yeti. What does this rant mean to me?
If your Tremor is being used to grab groceries, kids from soccer games or a bag of mulch, you're in good shape. If you intend on taking your Tremor into a well maintained field or public dirt road, you have nothing to worry about.

However, if that field has sand spurs or that dirt road isn't as well maintained as you were led to believe, (or maybe you live in Pittsburgh with more potholes than pavement), don't use the OEM tires. That SL rated tire may look cool but it's about as useful for off road as a Toyota corolla. Or a milk pail under a bull.

If I thought for a minute we could get Ford to switch these tires out before catastrophic failures start, I would push this harder. Unfortunately, Ford will wait until they are liable and offer a half assed olive branch to people who rely on their truck to be dependable.

Yep, been mad about this ever since I figured it out. It’s like wiping before you poop, doesn’t make any sense.
