Shock rub

I noticed this last night while under the truck. Is this just cosmetic (which I don’t care) or could this cause me problems or is a problem already?

I wouldn’t worry about it the metal housing will last longer than the plastic shield. But upgrading the rear shocks is one of the better upgrades you can make.
