Skid Plate Bolt Protection

I've noticed the stock skid plate bolts and RCI skid plates appear to have exposed bolt heads rather than being recessed to provide some protection. If going with skid plates that have exposed bolt heads, these look like they'll provide some protection:

Yes it does but then you might have an issue of being pushed up against the bolt making it even harder to remove. I've only sheared two bolts off in 30 years.

Now you've done it, you've just jinxed me! This is like the announcer saying your team's field goal kicker is 100% this year inside 40 yards and he goes out and misses from 30. I'll go out on my very first off road adventure and shear off four bolt heads!
