Smoked Bourbon?

I had a few smoked old fashioned at a nice restaurant last week and they were delicious. Literally smoked bourbon, they made it at the table smoke and all. I thought it was great. I also like that smoked and oak single malt though.

I had one of those this past wkend as well. Pretty cool.

I’d actually like to try it, but I doubt I’ll ever get the chance since it will be so hard to get

I've dabbled with smoking my own occasionally. More of a party trick than anything though, haha.

some of those smoked whiskeys taste like you are licking a burnt log.....High West Campfire for example....probably good in a drink but I had it neat.

I like a smoked old fashioned as well, but if it tastes like it's got liquid smoke in it then it's a hard pass.

Funny, being someone who smokes foods at least 3 times a week, that thought never crossed my mind. Yeah, that would be terrible.

Pellet or stick?

Yah I had a whistle pig smoked old fashioned and it tasted like that. It was nasty.

Pellet or stick?
There is no or, there. ;)
I limit my stick smoking to ultra cold/smoky or when I want more of a grill effect.
Anything between 160 and 275 or anything with a cook longer than 13 hours, I use my pellet
