For those that have gone with an aftermarket wheel/tire combo, what are you doing for a spare? While this will be a daily driver, I will take it off-road where tire damage is a potential.
1. Could get a fifth wheel/tire like the other four, would be more expensive but would go with a five tire rotation.
2. Get a cheaper wheel and tire (same diameter as other four) and keep it strictly as a spare.
3. Skip a spare altogether and rely on repairing, including the possibility of a sidewall cut.
I'm leaning towards 1 or 2 above and keeping the spare in the garage unless going on a long trip or off-road and then securing it in the bed. On-road maybe put it under the bed if it'll fit, off-road I'd secure it in the bed to help with any clearance issues and protect it from (my luck) cutting the sidewall dragging across some rock.
Anyway, what are your thoughts?
