Stereo upgrade for base 401A system.

Love the truck aside from the rake and stereo. Has anybody upgraded the base 401A system?

Nice. Only problem is… in my 20 AT4 I came out of it had the full Bose system. Kinda got spoiled. The stock speakers in my opinion won’t hold up with added bass. I could be wrong but even now. Anything over 1/2 volume they mid out.

I feel your pain. I ordered a 22 stone gray 401 with the upgraded Soundsystem and it was delayed another four months which puts me at almost a 10 month mark since I ordered. Dealer called me with another antimatter blue 401 on the lot and I put money down on it… Just doesn’t have the sound system. But I will take the woofer and amp over nothing. To be fair the B/O Has nothing on the Bose system

Damn. That’s sad. The Bose system in my AT4 fricken bumped for a stock system. I’m just gonna go ahead and replace the speakers n tweeters. 5 channel amp and a single ten in an under seat box.

I have the 401A with the B&O. It’s good, definitely better than the factory speakers of my 15 XLT, but not quite as impressive as I’d hoped.

This is a great question. Crutchfield has some upgrade options for speakers that are reasonable. In 6-8 months when I get my Tremor, I’ll let you know how it goes…
