Stock Wheel & Tire Rub

I have a new 2022 F150 Tremor that is completely stock. My tires rub when in reverse and turned lock to lock. I took it to the dealer and was told it is rubbing the frame at full lock. The technician contacted a “Ford Specialist” and they are telling me this is normal and within specs. They claim to have another Tremor on the lot that does the same thing.

Has anyone else had this issue? I have a hard time believing this is normal.

A few have had this issue, but no it is not normal, I don't recall how a couple of the others fixed that but if you search you will find another post similar to this.

I received an almost identical response when my slip yoke was clunking. "Another f150 does this too, it must be normal..."

I have a rub at full lock to the right in reverse. Checked and mine was the fender liner rubbing slightly. I've pulled on it some but not sure it helped much. I'm hoping warmer weather helps. We'll see.

Unacceptable response from Ford. Should not be having any type of rubbing.

Yeah guys if a tire is rubbing as built, the answer Is to drive it up your dealer's backside until they feel the rub and realize it's not safe

Mine rubs when locked left in reverse I haven't looked at it yet (it's front right side) but will do so and report back. I think it's the fender liner as well but not sure, it doesn't sound like frame to me. Stock, no level or anything either. Might check this out tomorrow gents (and ladies if applies not sure)

I have a 2022 as well. I haven’t noticed a bit of rubbing whatsoever. I’ve not had it off road so I can’t speak to how it would react making turns on serious off camber roads. I will say this though, if you’d of put on some aftermarket wheels and tires the response from Ford wouldn’t have been it’s normal. They’d of promptly advised you that your warranty had been cancelled due to non Ford, aftermarket add ons and solely blamed the new wheels and tires for it.

I also have a front level kit so maybe if you at least level the truck, it will remove any future rubbing. Gotta say that’s a piss poor response from the dealer. In my opinion, you may be better served by taking the truck to another dealer that sells large quantities of F150s and see if it’s just the dealer trying to gaff you off so they don’t have to deal with it.

I found the source of the rub, it's as I suspected...in the passenger side and will be easy to tie back. Drivers side is tighter to the frame so no rub. See below.

Yep. Same as mine just on the driver's side.
