Hey All, Im struggling to decide to just run the stock wheel and tires? Or to get a new set of 18’s and run stock generals. Thoughts

I actually really like the stock wheels, but their size limits the available tire options. If I could find a good 35ish d rated tire that fit I’d keep them, but to get the tire I want I think I need to go to a wider wheel or stuff a tire designed for a 8.5” wheel into our 7.5” then I f I’m buying new I may as well go 17”. But I don’t see a need to swap wheels and run stock tires unless you just really want something different which I do get! I think a bronze wheel would look amazing on my AMB and that’s really skewing my judgment!

I do not have my truck yet, but some are saying the stock tires are a light duty tire. if that is the case I would rather go with a better tire and keep the stock wheel. I have seen a lot of bigger tires on the stock wheels and they look really good.

The tires while not e rated and are sl tires are much tougher than you think. I won't be changing unless I wear these out or get a coilover leveling kit on here.

Here’s what I just put on really depends on what really turns your crank. >this turns my crank.

They did a good job with the wheels from factory but i did actually have some bronze in mind or rebels.

I am a guy who modifies his vehicles however I do think the stock wheels look good. I will keep them as is until I find something more appealing.

I keep putting 17” bronze fuels with Baja Boss AT’s in my cart and then deleting it. Over and over and over….

Personally I think Ford dropped the ball putting narrow 18" wheels on it. Should have put 17x9 or 17x8.5 on it. The off-roading gains with 17's are real...I've been places I wouldn't have gotten out of without airing down my tires and that extra flex helps. If someone wanted to stick closer to the OEM offset, I still think Raptor takeoffs would be a viable option. The non-beadlock ones can be found for pretty cheap and they look great powder coated.

I’m doing the same thing LOL. The shop I am ordering them through talked me out of the Baja bosses.

“These tires will be tight, you may want to choose another tire, we have had issues balancing these lately. A lot have come out of round. We can also gain a little more room while turning by going to a +20 offset instead of +1 on the wheel.”

Hell yeah. I’m gonna put some 34” Nitto Recon Grapplers on 18” bronze Fuel rebels to go with my antimatter blue.

When you guys do this share pics. I'm trying to decide on sizing options but the Fuel Rebels in bronze will go ony AMB. I haven't decided on tires yet but I'm thinking terra grapplers.

Good info! I was originally looking at Toyo At3’s but stumbled across glowing reviews of the Baja’s. Toyo’s are back on the table now!

I am leaning to the ICON Compressors in titanium. 18” so if i am not happy with a basic level they will still work with a BDS kit. I know 17’s are better but they will not work on a BDS kit.

Hey Captain, truck looks great! Can you share the wheel specs and offset? Picking up my Tremor tomorrow and looking at after market tires/wheel options to go on after level next week!

Currently leaning towards a Nitto RG 295/60R20 with 20x9 +18. Should give it a better stance w/o too much poke
Thanks in advance

These are definitely pushing the limits but I wouldn’t change a thing. 17x8.5 0 offset and 285/75/17 34”x11”
