Appreciate any input on my current plans for an F150 Tremor. Have been looking more at a Bronco Raptor for the last 6 months or so, but as everyone knows, that is an impossible feat to get at the moment. However, I have a leased BMW right now with $13K in equity that I plan to buy out. And as I'm expecting BMWs to drop faster to a more realistic residual value, I'm currently looking to capitalize on a trade-in option that may hold value better until/if I were to decide on a switch to the Bronco Raptor in a year or so. Would be curious to hear thoughts on moving to a 2022 Tremor under these circumstances. I have a 402A available to me, full optioned, with A Plan that'll keep me ~10K below sticker at purchase. Appreciate any input!

The Tremor is a nice truck. I waited for my order over 8 months like everyone else. and I bought a different truck than my order because of my trade in with that dealership. If you want a truck and the numbers seem good then test drive and buy it! 10k below sticker is where you want to be for sure!

I would never take the Bronco raptor over the Tremor ever, that's why I traded my 2022 bronco (day 1 order in 2020) in on the Tremor. The Bronco is cool only in the way of taking the top and doors off, but it's not comparable. The Bronco feels and is built cheap, they all have some random minor problems, at least minor, because ford is so far behind on bronco orders they build them as fast as they can in crap condition and send them out with missing parts or not complete. And the Bronco raptor is really not worth it. It's heavier than the tremor, way slower than the tremor, and you can get the bronco raptor suspension (HOSS 3.0) on wildtraks now. In no way is the Bronco Raptor worth buying, especially not for the price you will pay. If you want a bronco, order a wildtrak with the HOSS 3.0 system. The Bronco raptor doesn't even compare to the f150 raptor and they're going for negligible price difference, if any. It doesn't even compare to the tremor. If it were me, having already owned a bronco, I would take a Tremor, f150 raptor, or Wrangler over the Bronco all day every day. Also, as a side note, bronco trade in value is dropping quick because the Bronco fad is not hot like it was in 2020-2021. They aren't worth anywhere what they were a year ago.

I think the best resale will be on a 21. I would pay a little more to get the options Ford took away in 22.

If you can get a fully optioned 2022 Tremor for $10k under msrp you are good for a few years I would think (in terms of holding resale value). Tremors are not Porsches, they’re not going to increase in value every year, but the chip shortage isn’t even close to over. I see them holding their value very well for the next several years.
