Was getting annoyed at how bad the bass was on the 8 speaker b&o

Went with the JL stealth box with the thin 10w3 and jl 600 w amp, disconnected factory sub

How does the 13.5 sound? Im going the same route///with the Audio interface from Sounds Good audio, amp rack and factory subwoofer delete / block off plate (also using JL XD1000.. Crutchfield had a good sale, same price as the 600)

mine is just the single 10" thin, but still way more than enough base for a crew cab, only have it set for 50%

Ah, I was wondering why your enclosure looked deferent. Glad to hear your pleased.. this is my 5th amp of those JL series (4 in my boat that take a beating all summer long + 112 degree Texas heat), they are incredible.

I have the 401a package. Stereo didn’t impress me until I added the 8” kicker 11HS8 behind the back seat. Tied it into a speaker wire. Sounds much better! View attachment 22423
Hey guy, any more info on this, did you have to run power from the battery or did you tap into something back there? I would like a little sub but I dont want to run wires everywhere.
Thanks .

still need to go to battery, but there are channels along the doors and grommet in engine bay, not hard to do

I had mine installed. It looks like the guy ran the power from the junction box by the battery. He added a fuse a few inches away. Then ran the power around the front of the radiator. I hope this helps

I finally added some bump in the truck myself. I have the B&O unleashed and wanted to get more bass. Put a down firing kicker comp RT 10” with a 400 watt amp and bass control knob. I’m super impressed with the results it is producing….

Wanna add hertz mille shallow subs time 3 and replace door speakers is this possible off stock b an o system 8 speaker 2024 tremor f150

I wish I could help you Dustys-Tremor. I have the 401 model and it doesn’t have the B&O system. I messed with my wife’s proprietary stereo in her Mazda and it cost me. Might want to find a reputable auto stereo shop near by and have them look at it. For the Tremor we just spliced into the speaker wire and ran power to a self powered 8” kicker sub.

Ok well thanks for the response I have reached out see what the verdict is.

Now that you've had this for awhile, has your opinion changed on this being adequate?

I just got my Tremor and thought I could live with the B&O sub but alas...not. (Mystified by the design thought as opposed to the previous year's boxes.) I went a bit overboard on my F350 with under seat 10s and don't want to repeat that so I was looking at the 10" version of this sub. If the 8" is enough, no need for overkill.

If you’re used to 10’s, I would recommend staying that size. I’m still pleased with the 8. I am now considering swapping out my door speakers to JL’s. They sound incredible in my buddies truck.

Done! Thanks to Medanr (and others), I put in the Kicker 51HS10 (after sound treating the back wall) and got the bass I needed. Kinda stunned that the B&O sub wasn't even sealed to the back wall; the gasket folded inside the hole. I fabricated this prototype amp board as shown here but I'll be making a full board to fully use the OEM sub mounting bolts. As is, a small sheet of 1/4" ABS with an extension for the top bolt so no cutting of the back fabric was required. The finished version will have an "L" at the bottom to engage the bottom bolts and a thicker mount for the top bolt; still easy to knock out in the garage so you don't need to drill holes in the back wall.

I used speaker level inputs and DC offset to power on.
Bass is more full than OEM (crossover set at 100 for now) and definitely more power! I have 75% gain set at 15 on the volume knob and it's more than enough with a bit of thump. My sound journey is complete. Thanks to everyone that provided tips!

FYI, the 51hs10 is on sale at Crutchfield right now.
