Sync updates...

Had them in the head unit to auto. Now Ford pass has it off. And now when I try to check in the truck, it just sits there saying "checking" this may take a minute.

Any solutions? Sis a soft reboot to no success

When I check for updates in the truck. Settings---> updates. It just sits there looking. Forever. Doesnt even bring up menu to turn on or off automatic updates. Just keeps chrcking

I saw a video where someone clicked on the help feature and reported the option of software update. Which sends a bug report to Ford. Not long after an update was pushed. Another thought, do you have it connected to your home wi-fi? Maybe bad cell connection if not.

Yeah its on home wifi and my hot spot, which is blazing 5g. Same result.

Have you tried a Master Reset not a soft reboot of the SYNC system?

Also as far as reporting any issues back to Ford, one must now send a voice message to Ford about any SYNC issues.

The help option via taps was removed during the last SYNC update.

Not yet. Kind of like my sound system update would hate to lose it

You’re not going to lose anything by doing a Master Reset.
Whatever updates you have now or whichever SYNC version you have now, they’ll be there after said Master Reset.
The only thing that you’ll have to do afterwards is reconnect your home WiFI, your phone and it’s Bluetooth connection, and any radio or SXM presets that you have.

Mines doing it to. Was on the phone with a young computer tech tried everything we could do. Final verdict has to go to the dealer.

Going in tomorrow for this, and the new Trailer Brake system fault, everytime i start it. Never used the trailer brake.

Took it in today. They did whatever they do and pushed updates. Now it works just fine. And they confirmed the trailer harness is not good. Never once have i used it either. Lol. Parts getting ordered.
