Inspired by the Pet Peeves thread... What are some things you just figured out about your truck? Tips and tricks?

I just found out you can swap out either the trans temp gauge or oil pressure gauge for a boost gauge in the instrument panel screen. Not my video (or the best) but here's a guy showing how: (skip to the 3:30 mark)

And that if your truck is in drive a you even open the front door a little it automatically puts it in park. Not really sure if this should be in my thread or yours but I’m gonna leave it here

Mine works just fine from the fob, opens and closes, all I did was turn it on in vehicle settings.

If you shut off your truck while still in drive it will put it in park for you.

I have confirmed the setting is correctly ON for the tailgate to open via the FOB, but still does not always work. I am happy for the owners that it always works for - but some owners (like me) have found it to be inconsistent. I would take to the dealership to demonstrate, but would probably work fine for them. I hope that a future update will resolve this - it is annoying.

Same. Works about half the time for me.

Have you tried hitting the unlock button first? I wonder if it fails to work because the tailgate is locked?

Thought that was the issue at first, but still doesn't work 100% of the time

This is my first truck with a back up cam and other day I had to connect to trailer with my tailgate down (xtra short box problems) and was pretty happy to see when tailgates down the camera still perfectly points at hitch

Curious if there is programmer that will shut off the seat belt and door ajar dings? Previously had jeeps and a Ram Rebel. Z automotive made a device that over ride some of the factory settings. Is there something like this for Ford?

Mine is intermittent too.. I've had it at the dealership 2 times and it wouldn't act up while it was at the dealership.

The item u need to buy is the OBDLink EX & then u download the ForScan app. From there u can make a lot of very useful changes to ur truck to include seat belt chimes, etc… I bought mine on Amazon for like $50.00
