Well fellas, it’s been a good long while since I’ve been on here. Shout out to you @Yeit. I rolled through Nashville this morning and saw a Tremor eastbound and down on I 24 and I’m going to pretend it was you and you saw me and waved back lol! Anyhow, I’m at about 82k and I think it’s time to swap out the Eibach fronts and the RC Vertex rears. I’m sure the answer is out there, but frankly I’m being lazy and don’t feel like sorting through the BS. What are we thinking for matching front and rears for a level? Halo kit? For those unfamiliar, currently running the RAS HD and Toyo AT3 285/75R18. Thanks in advance!

Bilstein 6112’s and 5100’s.

I had RC fronts and vertex rears, put about 40k on them. Recently swapped to the new icon set specific to the tremor, and I really like it. Aside from icons support being shit, the actual product and ride is great. Would recommend either those or the full halo kit.

Yeah man. Of course I waved back.;)
I've had these front Icon's in my house for several months waiting for time to install and decided to order their leaf springs. Once they're in, I'll let you know. It should be the end of August. The only difference is I'll be keeping my 5165s in the rear.

In your opinion, did you prefer the Vertex or the Icon?

The icons by far. The vertex were good, but the build quality isn't the same as the icon. I think the icons run better all around too because they are the same set front and back.

I'm happy with my Icons! I have the standard F150 rear shocks (ordered before they released Tremor specific). Also running the RAS HD kit like you are
Planning on getting their leaf springs and Tremor rear shocks sometime in the future as well.

Is there anywhere you can acquire them without a two month wait?

Negative. Mine took almost 4 months with the leafsprings. I complained for a 20% discount and got it.

That’s a solid discount. I was all set to get some Icons ordered, but then I realized my Vertex were still under warranty so I’ll get them replaced for free. I also learned while on the phone with RC that they are in the middle of developing Tremor specific Vertex fronts and they thought they would be ready for release in October, for what it’s worth.

Just a quick update on the Halo/Elka 2.5s. I did some driving around the back mountain roads of West Virginia this morning and, while it wasn't technical terrain at all, I'd say the Halos did pretty well. That said, I don't have a lot to compare them to, never having driven those roads before and not having experience with Icons or Bilsteins or others. I'd imagine that there are better options out there. These were kind of a base model upgrade, which was what I could afford. Once I get a real job, I'll likely upgrade again, but I'm happy enough with these for right now. The truck was pretty heavy with 4 people and a full bed, and it stayed pretty well planted on dry dirt/mud and gravel roads.

Most of us don’t need crazy upgraded suspension, myself included. Good to know about the Halos. I really thought I’d end up with that or Icons, but then I realized my Vertex were under warranty and Eibach just replaced my fronts less than a year ago so I’m probably going to go the cost effective route and let RC replace my Vertex. I may get inspired and buy the Vertex fronts if they actually release them, but the Eibach fronts have been fine. I’d like to have the Icon setup with the leafs instead of the RAS but I find it hard to justify spending 6 grand on a truck with 80+k miles on it when the RAS has worked just fine. There comes a point where good enough is exactly that.

That's very true and often it seems that we're chasing some sort of perfect ride that doesn't exist. Add to that the fact that suspension will ride different with different loads... Either way, the Halo/Elka 2.5s did just fine and I'm happy with them, for what it's worth to anyone looking for new suspension.

In reality, I was more concerned about my installation of the parts than how they would perform...:D

Sorry off op topic but I’ve been waiting a week and not heard back from Halo.
The 2.5 are supposed to come preset 1.5 over stock but mine shipped all the way low.
Can you tell me how many threads are showing, snap a photo and let me know how much lift you have?
Thanks

I counted about 17-18 threads, which should be about 2.5" lift overall?? That doesn't seem right. It seems pretty low, now that I look at the photos...
I could certainly go higher, though I'd need to raise the rear up some more... That said, I don't have any rubbing in the front...

This does bring up another question: where do you measure the lift?

Thank you! That’s about where my last year model Halo mountain package struts are at. They are supposedl to come set 2.5 but the last 2 sets they sent me were / are dialed as far up as they go.
I’m trying to install and go and not worry about adjustments as they are doing alignment same day as the install.
Only true way to measure lift is center the hub to fender but would need to do a before and after.
If your doing it for your use only it’s much easier to measure bottom of rim to fender. That way no error of eye balling center the rim
Here’s pics of the mountain package that got me 2.5”

Makes sense. I never measured the before lift... oh well. It just seems that there should be more threads showing if the shocks are set at 2.5" and the top of the range is 3", if that makes sense.
