Managed to tear up the side wall of a tire, liking the full sized spare on nice looking rim.

So now I need to think about tires before I'd like to.
I figured I'd go with General Grabber 27.70.18 however with E rated for four ply sidewalls.

I do some offroading/camping however spend most days driving around town or on dirt roads.

Is there a different set I should be looking at you'all have had luck with?

I really love the Toyo AT 3s. I am about to order 285/75R18s for mine. I have had them on my Toyotas in the past and they perform very well in all conditions. They also take less weight to balance than most.

I'll back this up, I've had these tires on my '13 FX4, they performed great on/off road, wet or dry, and lasted longer on the gravel roads we have here than any other tire I've run.

Falken Wildpeaks AT3W, smooth/quiet on road ride, great in snow with excellent durability

I was doing a comparison in another size earlier...so I whipped up one for the stock size comparing four popular choices.

Specs are from each manufacturer's website.
Cost is from Discount Tire. The 'all four' cost does NOT include balancing or mounting - it's simple 'cost x 4' to give you a sense of total price difference.

I'm likely going with Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT's on mine.

Oh I should mention they tend to be lighter that other brands as seen in @High_Country screenshot above. That alone is enough to make them worth the price of admission.

This is by far the best tire on the market in the AT/semi-hybrid category, I literally put 2 sets through hell and other than somehow sticking a deck screw through one they never had a problem. Oh and they just happen to be discounted this month.
