2023 tremor 5.0
Ok so last month i pulled the trigger I ordered a 402a 2023 f150 5.0 tremor i couldnt be more happy with my decision in antimatter blue but that rake is ridiculous i am definitely going to buy a 2.5in leveling kit to make this truck look the way it should i have decided to buy 18x9 offset +20 wheels so they dont look so pushed out with the 7.5 width stock wheels my question is what is the recommended tire to fill the space but i want no rubbing at all i do live in the country but i won't be doing any extreme offroading by any means but its not strictly street would a 305 70 r18 work ? A 35 12.50 looks like it would rub when flexed in my opinion i dunno

I’m running 35x12.50R20 with a 2.5 bds level. I’ve had it flexed to where one wheel was off the ground without rubbing.

I run a 295/70r18 on stock wheels now and have no rubbing. I do have 2” level installed, although those tires didn’t rub without the level.

I’m having a set of 18x9” wheels installed later in the week with a +20 offset, and think I’ll be fine with my same tires. Seems like multiple folks on the forum run the same setup and have no issues.

That being said, some people with a true 35x12.50 tire and a zero (or negative) offset claim to have no rubbing or maybe minor rubbing. I haven’t tried this exactly setup but bet it’s really close and would rub while off-roading.

I think ChsTremor admitted to a slight rub with 35 x 12.50’s and a 20x9” wheel with +20 here:

Not sure which brand tire he’s running though. His truck looks good though!

I’ll post some updated pics and let you know later in the week when my wheels get installed. FYI - the 295/70r18 runs about 34.3”x11.6”

Another well tolerated size seems to be 285/75r18, which is a little taller. I think Bannerman runs that size with his truck leveled.

-18's and no rubbing? That's amazing. Are you sure their not +20's or +1's?

Nice thats why i think i might try to run the 305 70 r18 that truck looks good ! I was gonna run the stock wheels for a while but said screw it and just gonna sell the stock wheels and tires at the same time

The at3 is an awesome tire i have had a set on my grand cherokee for 3 years and still half tread the -18 seems to be a pretty good offset and no rubbing do you have any pictures?

I will soon. I haven’t even had time to wash it yet lol

.

I had almost no rubbing with the set up you mentioned while running the procomp 2.5”. The tires are KO2’s. When I say almost no rubbing I mean it took me about 5,000 miles to figure out I had to be on a slight incline to the right backing up turning the wheel to the right.

I put on the halo lifts coil overs and lowered them 8 turns from when they came to me. This put me about 1/2” shorter than the procomp level. Had significant rubbing but was able to mitigate almost all of it by loosening the crash bars and moving them away from the tire. I think I’m gonna crank the coil overs up a few turns and let it ride.

That's a great suggestion about the crash bars. Seems like it's worth doing regardless of setup. Based on your experiences would you think a 295/70/18, on the same +20 Rebels would clear with a 2" level? I think the KO2's are 34.5" whereas my Falken's are 34.3". Given an inch less of width too should make a difference (hopefully...).

I have some doubts now given that my level is only 2".

Hard to say. You are changing two variables. I’d be ok saying yes if you had the halo coilovers as they are pretty easily adjustable. That’s one reason I got them. I can go up/down depending on clearance needed.

I run a 295 70 18 Cooper on factory wheels as well with no rub with my 2 inch leveling kit. Smooth ride!

Does anyone run the yokohama g003 tires ?
@Yeti has some that he uses, I think is what he went with, there may be a couple of others but I don't remember names at the moment, there is a tire thread on here.
