I would like to potentially get the Torsen installed on my truck.

1. Is it worth it?
2. What do you think is a reasonable cost to purchase and install?

I’m in the same boat. Following.

I am waiting on two dealership estimates — from the sound of things this could be expensive.

1. The 3 dealerships struggled to understand what was to be installed — does it have electronics, what exactly is be pulled off and replaced?

2. One dealership quoted me at ~$1800 (wasn’t positive though)

3. One dealership said go check 4-wheel parts online or visit their store

4. The last dealer hasn’t gotten back to me yet.

I really wanted the Torsen and I definitely would have added it if I had ordered. Fortunately / unfortunately I found a leadfoot on dealer lot where they weren’t trying gouge on price. It’s one of the few options the truck doesn’t have. Future mod I guess.

The torsen is really only useful if you're in substantial traction challenges. For me, being 3 days drive from the closest town during a trip, I want to make sure I am as capable as possible to get me through challenging trails.
If your mudding or in dunes or moderate difficulty well maintained trails, it's more of a nice to have

Following this thread as well. If I was ordering a Tremor I would have included it. but alas was limited to dealer stock.

Looks like the torsen unit itself is about $750.
Based on work done on my previous trucks I would expect installation to be about $500 at an offroad shop. I've installed differentials myself before but on slightly older vehicles but am a bit hesitant here. I'd want to make sure that the set-up was done correctly to avoid any premature wear on the gear and pinion

without it, I would be driving a 2021 Power Wagon.

yeah, if someone buys that, they're high. I haven't seen Anvil available in anything else I shopped. It's close to Ford's Area 51 which is also not available on vehicles I would use.
Agreed That area 51 is a real nice color too.

On the Ford build and Price for 2021 its a $500 option. IMO for $500 its a must have.
If I could have gotten a factory order built I would have the Torsen. I just asked the dealer i'm getting the truck from and they said that the differential isn't available yet.

But I'm pretty sure that it's the same as the unit in the Raptor which is available through Ford performance
Rather than arguing by phone with them I'll just get one and install it in a few months

They are being built right now. This is the order I just relinquished with a Torsen.

Any update on this? We really wanted it but the only stock we could find that had it was a super base model with no other adds.

Per email from Torsen when I asked them about the part number for the Tremor:
The service part number is CL3Z-4026-E, whereas the Performance part number is M-4204-F150LS

it is a great feature, such a bargain for $500....costs a lot more afterwards

500 is a steal, afterward it would be as much as a regear for the front, so minimum $1500.

I had a tremor ordered for a month, and after some reading decided to call to see if I could make changes to the order. Added torsen and start/stop delete yesterday. Truck was scheduled to be built about 4 hours later. So glad I could make the change!!
