Transmission Not in Park Message

Well, after finally having (2) error-free months, I started getting a few new messages on Friday. When I am coming to a stop, the message "Transmission Not in Park" pops up on the display. Everything seems normal, and once I start driving again, the message goes away. This is the same message that I have "legitimately" received when I open the door and the truck isn't in Park. I've checked all 4 doors, slammed them multiple times to make sure they're tight. The horn chirps normally when I lock it (not twice like when a door is open), and the dome lights dim and turn off as normal when I start it.

As it also happens, I'm now also getting a hill assist not available message when I first start the truck.

Any ideas on troubleshooting / fixes?

Dealer tech, you have a faulty sensor somewhere and that could take time to find. I would check each door sensor make sure it looks right, it could even be a wiring issue.

It did it consistently for about a week, then stopped. Now it's just sporadic, and if I open and close driver door it usually goes away. You mentioned checking each sensor and making sure it looks right. Any thoughts on what I should look for? No idea what I'm looking for.

Just make sure the sensor isn't stuck or that it is fully connected, if everything looks fine then a dealer tech will have to trace the wiring to make sure all connections are good.

Have appt for dealer on Tuesday for same issue. Will update when I have more info.
For information sake: where is the door sensor located?

Same thing here. "Transmission not in Park" and "Hill Assist Not Available". Happening to other people as well is a little suspicious to me. Wonder if that bug came in with Auto Update?

I have seen the Hill Assist not Available for about a month now. Transmission Not in Park so far only today.
