I had a 2018 XLT 3.5 max tow. Every time I turned the key to start it, I kicked myself for not getting a Lariat. I also hate halogen headlights.

Fast forward to now, ready to order a '23. I really like the Tremor and I can get it with the old school 5.0. Awesome. In high trim the way I like it, MSRP is $71,785.

For giggles, I built up my old truck, a max tow, sport package, high trim XLT. It comes out to $63,210. And surprise to me, it now has push button start and LED headlights. The things I was missing.

So near as I can tell, I could save $8775. However I'm missing the front torsten diff, the raptor transfer case, and memory seats. Plus the badges, neat seats, the bigger tires.

Am I missing anything else the Tremor makes better on?

I plan to move to Vermont, so lots of snow driving in my future. This is my real hang up because the AWD transfer case and LSD in the Tremor should really help. Plus memory seats for when my wife drives it and messes up the settings.

Tremor has Trail Turn Assist and 3:73 gears. Max tow may give you the gears, but not sure. Cool hood and rear bumper has the exhaust cut outs. The BAP will give you that. Haven't seen if they will do that on the 5.slow or if it will be a side exit like the regular BAP 5.slow. Skid plates, Raptor steps and rear tow hooks. The Hi-Lock and Torsen are the main reasons to get the Tremor now they offer the BAP and that pushes you into a 402a.

Fuzzy basically covered it. I'm unsure if the xlt can get heated seats and steer... well, heated/cooled seats, small lift and larger tires. I'm guessing the reasonably priced things you would add to make the xlt in line with the tremor may net you $3,000 in front end savings but your resale value loss will be closer to $5,000.

Why not get the Tremor in a 401A package, that would be the 302 XLT equivalent, but have all of the tremor goodies....

The wife moving the seat was huge for me, she is much shorter and when she would drive my old truck she would leave the seat and pedals how she had them, later I'd be in rush to head to work and relocate my knee cap on the steering wheel. That was enough for me alone to warrant the additional cost, but the transfer case, torsen, and the additional articulation with a better stance helped to justify it.

Your wife is ALLOWED to drive your truck? Whoa, no one tell mine that lol

She's the one who requested I get it, it was all her idea, still think she duped me though, because when we went to look for it they had an explorer timberline that she just had to have.
