I think its great that Ford brought back the 'Black Appearance Package' for 2022. But I was a little disappointed to learn that this package includes the Tremor hood and the Tremor rear bumper/dual exhaust. These are two features that I thought were unique to the Tremor. Does anyone else share my feelings?

That sucks if it’s the same. So the Tremor is a want to be Raptor. The Lariat Black out is a want to be Tremor. I am interested in the “dark tinted tail lamps”. Any pics to confirm the hood is the same? The limited has had the dual exhaust and bumper prior.

Looks like hood and the exhaust setup maybe slightly different to the tremor based on the ford configurator 🤞

I agree that it's BS. The Tremor gets less rebates and incentives (like 0% financing) and stuff because it's a "specialty vehicle." No H.O. engine, no tailgate applique like the Raptor or other higher trim levels. No longer have a model specific grille/hood like the Raptor has always had. At this point FoMoCo might as well remove it as a trim level and just offer it as a package like the Super Duty and Ranger. But for those of you wondering, yes it is confirmed to have the formerly Tremor spe hood, grille, headlights, taillights, bumper and exhaust. So now we're left with orange int/ext accents, upfitter switches, drive modes, Torsen and Raptor T-case and get less color and engine options and financial incentives. 502A Fx4 BAP might be a better and cheaper option unless you really want those options OEM. :/

Ya that breaks my heart. Ford should know better. Raptor owners know they have a Raptor. Tremor owners the same. There is no mistaking the two. If you were to put all 3, Raptor, Tremor and the Black appearance next to each other, yes we could tell the differences but to the general public, they would point out there is only 1 that is different. That's how I would gauge it. The sticker in the back may the only thing that saves us lol. Dam shame.

If this is the case they should be producing bug deflectors for that hood. But I agree with everyone this is a stupid idea.

This is unfortunate, but we will all have the suspension components and torsen if you ordered it. Ram did the same thing with the Rebel/warlock packages a few years ago. That being said, I do kind of like the all black grille on the white truck. I was considering de-badging, blacking out the orange grille stripe, but leaving the orange tow hooks on mine.

I wonder if the hood shape will be the same, Black inserts alone do not indicate a Tremor Hood.

That said, I am in the camp of not caring if anyone else knows what truck/trim I drive so this is a moot point for me.

We also get the orange/gold interior. On the SuperDuty’s the black out package is pretty expensive. Cheaper to do the sport package with matching trim.We may not see to many people add it.

It's only $1,125 across the board for F-150s. That includes leather seats for the XLT 302a.

The BAP gets the exact same bodywork as the Tremor except the grille is all black.

It's a fairly inexpensive package to add so I'd be surprised if we don't start seeing a lot of these vehicles driving around in the near future. Pretty much the only thing most folks will see as the difference is the sticker, the orange accent and grill and maybe the tires. Oh well, we'll all know the difference lol.

If the exhaust doesn't have cutouts and is just under like it's shown there without a changed bumper, big difference imo.

well, that would have definitely made it more appealing to go with lariat (I was between the two) and just lift it and put bigger tires on....then again we get a couple of key items....3.73 gears (can't get those on lariat with 3.5), Torsen front option, nicer wheels IMO, and the custom orange accents as well as skid plates, etc....

All that can be added aftermarket pretty easy, but if you wanted PowerBoost, this would for sure be the way to go.

Hopefully. But the 2022 B&P specs show the 3.5 will have dual rears with black tips so if I was to bet, I'd say it will have the same bumper also.
I was just going by the photos of the 22's in that link.
