Guys, my Tremor is supposed to be delivered next week and the dealer is telling me that the Tremor is in "Stop Sale" status and they have no idea what that means... They told me even when it arrives, they can't sell it to me....

Any insight on this?

**** UPDATE ****

Dealer called back.. the car WAS on a chip hold and had the code "Stop Sale." It received the final chip and is now being delivered and in normal status. They informed me that sometimes the systems do not always update with the correct status and there are delays between them sync'ing.

Thanks

Generally a stop sale is a recall that has to be fixed before it can be sold. Windshield wiper, headlights, some kind of safety thing

Thank you for this information, I appreciate the comment! Follow up question, should I be concerned that the dealership does not know the cause of the Stop Sale at this time?

I would not be, Ford corporate is making the call. I’m sure more information will be forthcoming.

A friend of mine bought a platinum recently, but couldn’t pick it up for six weeks because it was waiting on a motor for the windshield wiper

This is the better and less alarming answer.

Mine has been on a stop ship for 3 months. Sitting in rail yard 2hr away waiting for Ford to come and fix it.
