I keep reading where people are comparing "the price point" of a Tremor to the Raptor. I disagree with that comparison.

Yes... a fully loaded Tremor comes near a base Raptor but, I think a better comparison is to compare a Tremor to an F150 with the Sport Package and FX4.
The Tremor 400A comes in a little over the price of an XL with Sports package and FX4
The Tremor 401A comes in a little over the price of an XLT with Sports package and FX4
The Tremor 402A comes in a little over the price of a Lariat with Sports package and FX4.

I built a Lariat and Tremor on the ford web site with similar options for about $1500. difference.
I ordered the 402A which I believe has a nicer interior than the Lariat with Sports package and FX4... I was also able to get the Torsen Differential that isn't available on the Lariat. I believe the Tremor will be a much better off roader than the Lariat with Sports package and FX4. It should also be much better in deep snow which I see a lot of.

There... I got that off my chest.:)

100% agree. I do not need a Raptor. It does not fit my needs, it would be cool to have... What you described was exactly my evolution to the Tremor.
I had all intentions of getting a Lariat 502A Sport FX4. Then I built a Tremor that had most of the goodies, I optioned on the Lariat, standard. The Tremor came out like $1,500.00 more and is a better looking, more capable truck.
To your point of the comparison between the Raptor and Tremor. A fully loaded Tremor just touches the entry level Raptor. The comparison with apples to apples options of the two would likely be a 15 - 20k difference before ADM. They are simply two different vehicles with different purposes.
Your thesis is spot on. I still place the Tremor in the truck category. It should be judged against other trucks (F-150, etc.). The Raptor in my opinion is a Super Truck and should be judged against the same (TRX, etc.).

Same. DOnt need Raptor goodies as I am a poser.

Cancelled my 502A for 402A Tremor because it look so much better, mainly the interior.
One of the main reasons that I went with a Tremor is the interior as well! I just couldn't handle the red/brown interior accents of the Lariat Sport Package 🤮. The Tremors interior sold me for sure and I do like the exterior as well! Overall best looking F-150 (non-raptor) to me!

I'm going to have to disagree. A Tremor and a Raptor should be directly compared. Well, a Tremor and 1.2 Raptors(towing), 1.5 Raptors (payload) and 9 Raptors(9 times the distance that I'll have to actively drive it back from Granger)active 2.0, the old man's raptor "sexy" replacement.
;)

I came from a 75k 502A FX4 and moved to a 65k 402A and am far happier.

I wish I had the Torsen diff, but thankfully I can add it on later.

I paid below MSRP for my Tremor, but a Raptor around here is 10-25K over MSRP, and starts off way more expensive, too.

It’s just not in the cards.

Good find... These 2 videos are right on the money

I get that the Raptor is more money, but you are also getting more for that money. Upgraded Fox shocks, 35" tires w/ full size spare, real carbon fiber and more refinement. By the time you add those items up, the price is very comparable and my expectations were that they would be more equivalent. Without real world need of the capacities and a trail rig, I opted to stick with my Raptor. I'm just a snob and know it.

You're 100% right. I don't know how anyone here thinks the price difference for comparably priced Tremor and Raptor will be $15k+. That's just wrong. I've build out both with the high end packages on each and added Torsen, bed liner, etc (basically all the same features), and the price difference is around $5k. If the Tremor could be had for a decent discount ($8-10K off sticker), now it's a different story. I'm fortunate to be able to get the Raptor and Tremor both at MSRP and now just have to decide. I actually really like the understated looks of the Tremor (front grille at least). It's a fantastic looking truck--Ford hit that part out of the park.

I got my Tremor below MSRP and with X-plan saved a lot of money. Raptors we’re going for $10-15k OVER MSRP so there is no comparison on value for me.

My Tremor is no Raptor, but I’ll be fine with a level and 35s. The difference between my 402A Tremor spec at $59k out the door and a similar spec Raptor at $88k with markup and pricing premium, is huge to me. If I could have gotten a low trim Raptor at MSRP and been able to use my discounts and X-plan then I would live in fantasy land.

I dunno, I would need to buy 2 raptors to tow the same trailer. For me, the tremor borders on too wide/long. Raptors couldn't fit the trails I run unless I was cool with 360 body damage

If I could find a dealer where I could get $8-10k off my Tremor build (which came to around $68k), then that's the direction I would likely go. But I can't-- not in today's market. And in 3 years, when I'm ready for a new truck, I'll be sitting on a truck that I will be lucky to sell for $38k.
The Raptor I built out is an apples to apples comparison in terms of features with the Tremor, and it's just over $73k. I think the only exception is the 2kw plug in the bed. But even that I think I eliminated (will have to go back and look).
If I was being hit with an ADM on the Raptor and could get the Tremor well below sticker, then that's a different conversation

Granger may be an option

I'm going to wait until year 3 or 4 of the Gen 3 Raptor to see where things fall. I think later in the generation is a good sweet spot. If it's like previous models you get the mid-generation updates along with sub-MSRP pricing. Guys were getting 2019 Raptors at invoice in some situations before COVID struck.

I may also have different towing/trail needs by then so the Raptor may be out regardless. I think I've made up my mind to always be in a Raptor unless my needs don't allow for it.

Can your Raptor do a rodeo 😁

I suggest you check out this thread. Several people on this forum (including me) have ordered their trucks from Granger Ford.

My Tremor build price came in around $68K and I'm getting it for around $62K from Granger. I should be taking delivery in a few weeks. It is built and it's on the way to the dealer.

Are you flying out there and driving back or do you plan to have it shipped somehow?

I ordered from Granger and I'm in Miami. Will be flying out and driving back. Compared to MSRP down here I'm saving 10-15k easily, and the flight and drive back will be less than $1k.
